Please read carefully and ask all questions or request additional pictures if you need, this is a project not a finished car and will need lots of work! Ok, so now that I got that out of the way, offered is a 1968 Pontiac GTO with a 242 vin. The car is a REBODY, built from a 68 Tempest. The vin and tag trim are all GTO but the original car was to badly gone to save and the owner used a Tempest to save the GTO. This is a great source of parts or finish it and have a really nice driver! I have collected nearly everything to finish the car and it is all going in one auction! The part collected are a mix of new and original and more new are performance parts. The motor is an unfired, fresh rebuild from New World Engines, here in Maine. They specialize in older vehicles and motors and the builder worked with me to get a real streetable screamer! It is a 1972 455 built right with EDELBROCK D-port Heads, APR bolts, new everything and a Cam to match the performance of the heads. I dont remember what cam is in it, but when I find my paperwork, I will list it. The water pump is an aluminum aftermarket designed (and clearanced) to keep it cool. I have an American Eagle radiator new in the box that can handle 750 hp, so it should be very drivable. The Frame has been blasted and painted and then I assembled the chassis with all the good parts I could get. HOTCHKIS springs, GLOBAL WEST front suspension, Uni performance rear. I have EDELBROCK shocks for all 4 corners and slotted rotors on the front. I already described the motor.. the Trans is a newly rebuild 400 with all kinds of goodies inside and a shift kit. I have the Hideaway bumper brackets but the standard front grill. If you want to swap it, the bumper brackets are right for hideaways. The grills are unbroken and very nice. It comes with 3 deck lids, one very, very nice. One very usable and one not very good. I also have a new GTO hood as well as the standard, Lemans hood. The car also comes with an aftermarket RAM AIR III COMPLETE SYSTEM still in it's box!! I have the wooden, aftermarket steering wheel, and the his/her DUAL GATE shifter. I also have a correct 68 console. The interior is turquise and I have new seat covers for the buckets, the rear seat is in nice condition. I have new carpet, package tray and door panels for the interior, the rest of the interior was to good to need replacing. I have a new windshield and 2 rear windows as well. The car comes with 4 fenders, the patches for the bottoms (that are always bad) a very nice battery tray, FULL QUARTER SKIN REPLACEMENTS ready to be attached and so much more. The front valance is very nice and the doors are rust free. They do have some wrinkles that will need to be worked out. New with box MSD 40th year ignition, all new GTO badges, original hood tach, 5 rally II rims with trim rings. I have the paint kit for the wheels as well. The car right now is on 2 trans am honey comb wheels in the back and a set of 14" chevy (?) rally wheels in the front. These will go with the car as well. Maine does not require a title for vehicles more then 10 (I think) years old, so this will be sold only with a BILL OF SALE! Please keep that in mind when bidding. A $600 paypal deposit will be required within 48 hours of auction end, I can't store this vehicle for very long as my house is also up for sale and when it sells, the car must be gone or you've lost it. As you can see from the pictures, the car is not fully assembled and there are many duplicate parts that must go as well.. keep this in mind when you make arrangements to pick it up!
