This is a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite that is in need of a new home. The car has been sitting for many years and does not run or stop. I have looked over the car and here are my findings: · 948cc engine o The water pump is seized o Thermostat housing has corrosion o Engine does turn over o Gas tank needs replaced o Radiator hoses need replacement o I have not tried to start · Smooth case transmission · Front drum brakes o 2 wheel cylinders per drum o 1 side is missing the cross-over pipe · Needs new master cylinder (non-work hydraulics) · Driver and passenger floor plans appear to have been replaced with sheet metal · There is a fiberglass patch in the battery box (guess this was a fix for rust) · There is a fiberglass patch above the gas tank · Comes with top bow and side curtains · ¼ elliptic rear suspension · Shocks needs replacement · Parking brake does work · Has spare tire · Seat pans are good (passenger seat is not bolted in) · Missing center review mirror · Windshield needs replacement · All of the rubber needs to be replaced (was in dry storage and experienced Texas summer heat) · Small rust spot on passenger side in front of rear wheel · Does not come with key (needs new ignition switch) · All three rubber brakes hoses need replacement (they are preventing fluid to the wheel cylinders) · Comes with a Texas title, not in my name (name of previous owner from 1998), and a bill of sale I am selling this as I do not have time for the project and I am moving next month. I have a few Austin Healeys and this is a great restoration project. It is a simple car and there was even an episode on Wheeler Dealers where they restored one. In addition to this car, I do have many extra parts that I would sell separately. These include a complete 1275cc engine and transmission, a complete 1962 sprite with title (948cc engine, drum brakes), minilite wheels and tires, hood hinge kit, tube shock kit, and more. This car is not running and does not have working brakes. The last car I sold internationally required a considerable about of work between customs and the shippers and given the value of this car it is not worth shipping internationally. Also, the title for the car is not in my name. I have not transferred the title as the car needs an inspection to transfer the title and register the car. The car will not pass inspection as it does not run. With the title not in my name, this is a problem for customs. This car has changed hands from the previous owner on the title a few times. The title has been signed over, but the buyer has not been filled out. The car will come with the title and a bill of sale from me.
