Vehicle Detail
I know it’s a long ad but please take the time to read the entire listing before bidding so that you know exactly what I have to offer. This incredible car is is listed at NO RESERVE so bid to win. Please note this Viper does have a clean TN title so anyone can easily secure a loan for the full value. Once again please read the entire ad so you know everything about the car. There is more writing below all the pics. Thanks, Wayne This $1 NO RESERVE auction is for my 2008 Dodge Viper Coupe with 14k miles. It is finished in the very rare Viper Bright Blue Metallic with White stripes (only 12 cars were ever built in this color combo in 2008). This is by far one of the brightest colors ever available on any Viper and really makes this beast stand out in the crowd. This is the 2nd rarest color offered that year. One other thing that makes this particular car rare is the interior color combo; it is a 2 tone blue and black leather/suede with all the lower interior panels being a bright blue and the factory shifter knob, the E brake, the seats, and steering wheel are all blue stitched. This has always been the color combo I wanted and never even dreamed I would find one with the two tone interior too. Words can’t explain how much I love to just sit and stare at this amazing machine for hours. Sadly I will probably cry when it leaves =-( It’s safe to say I am a car guy and I have a serious passion for cars. I have owned well over 200 cars in my life so far but I can confidently say this is by far the best looking and my favorite car ever. Now the big question on your mind is then why am I selling it? I want an 08-10 Viper ACR. That is the only car I could ever get rid of this one for so I’ve decided its time to sell this one so I can finally buy the ACR I’ve been dreaming of. The Viper was all stock when I bought it except for a Magnaflow catback exhaust system. In fact I bought this car out of California and it was actually the Gen 4 that Magnaflow used to dyno their 2.5” catback system on their website and this one definitely set a good number(remember the dyno shows the HP and Tq to the wheels and there is a typical 15%-17% drivetrain lose). You can see Magnaflow revving videos and drive by videos videos of the car here http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/domestic/08viper/08viper.html and here is the Magnaflow dyno video http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/domestic/08viper/08viper_dyno.html . In the past year that I have owned the car I have added some mods that I feel make the car even better and I have taken this already incredible car to over 650 HP. And whats even better is this 650 HP machine can still cruise down the road and get 25MPG on the highway. Driving locally I always get around 17-18 MPG. Im not very hard on my car and 99% of the time just baby it around but of course every once in a while I will let her stretch her legs a bit =-) Ive owned 4 Viper total(one 04, two 06’s, and this 08) and I can tell you from personnal experience that the 08-10 Vipers (gen 4) are a much better drivers car they are sooo smooth and the ride is soo much better than the past Vipers. So much better that I don’t think I could ever go back to a Gen3 again. The 08-up Vipers have a completely different drive train and it makes for a much smoother shifting trans and a lot better rear end(much better traction and very quiet on the highway). One more very much improved item on the 08-up Gen4 vipers that I like is the much improved power steering, drive a gen 3 and a gen 4 and you will see what I mean. IMO the Viper is one of the most comfortable sports cars Ive ever owned, once you get down inside this baby the seats hug you like you cant believe and no matter how fast you turn the wheel those big sport seats keep you right where your suppose to be. And with the fighter plane cockpit gauge layout you can easily keep a watch on all the vitals of the car at all times. Oh and don’t even get me started on the attention this car will get. Its soo much attention at times you will find yourself wondering if its even worth trying to drive the car. Seriously if you are not an attention hog then this really isn’t the car for you because you will have your picture taken or will be videoed every time you leave the house in it and forget about stopping to get gas or any other public place without getting to talk to someone about the car. Even now just typing about this car I have a smile on my face that I cant wipe off it really is that much fun to own and drive this amazing machine. In the last year that Ive owned this car I find myself behind the wheel every time the weather will allow it. In fact I have put almost 5k completely trouble free miles on the car since I bought it. I could go on and on about how incredible the Viper experience is but until you try it for yourself you will never truly understand. The best part about the Viper is you can actually drive an exotic car thats as dependable as any normal car on the road. This car came with every option available from the factory and even has a few tasteful mods that Ive added: I’ll list the factory and aftermarket options below: Factory Specs/options: -8.4L V10 (600HP 560TQ stock) -6 Speed Close Ratio Trans -Viper Bright Blue Mettalic(2nd rarest color in 2008) -White stripes (a factory option) -AM/FM/CD 310 watt 7 speaker Alpine Sound System with Subwoofer -Factory Navigation (pretty rare option) No Nav disc -Highly desirable 5 Spoke wheels -2 tone Blue/Black Leather/Suede interior (very rare Option) -Power adjustable pedals -Tilt steering wheel -Ice cold AC (another great thing about the Gen3 and Gen4 Vipers) -One touch power windows with smart seal technology -Power open button on the rear hatch (on the 03-06 cars you could only get into the truck with the keyfob) -14” brembo brakes front and rear (this car can almost stop the earths rotation with this much braking power =-) -HID headlamps -Fog lamps -Smart seat passenger airbag -Keyless entry(2 remotes/2 keys) -etc Added Modifications: -Magnaflow 2.5” Street Catback Exhaust -Catless connection pipes -Mopar Venom controller (factory controller included too) -K&N drop in filter -6000k HID Fog light conversion -Full DynoMat interior install (makes the car so quiet inside and cuts out all interior heat) -Heated seats (This is one option that no car should be without) -White LED interior and exterior lighting conversion(basically every light has been converted) -Blue LED instrument panel and climate control panel conversion (looks incredible at night!!!) -Lloyd blue/black Viper mats (MUCH better than stock mats!!) -15% tint on all windows -Color matched Calipers (the red just never looked right with this color) -New Nitto Invos 275-35/18 front, 345-30/19 rears 95% tread left (super sticky and ride amazing) -MGW Shorty Gripper Shifter (blue fangs) and Shorty Shifter Bezel (Great improvement over stock but stock shifter included) As far as condition goes the car is a close to perfect as you could want in a 14k mile car but there is no such thing as flawless with any car driven on the street. Some of the things that I would not consider normal wear on the exterior is a small scuff on the drivers door(was there when I got the car very light and no has ever even pointed it out. Hard to get on camera See pic), small scratch right behind the drivers rear wheel(I ran over a stick in the road and the rear wheel kicked it up, its so low you have to lay on the ground to see it, see pic) and last a small paint chip on the front bumper right under the hood(you have to raise the hood to see it, it does NOT show with the hood closed, see pic) Keep in mind that the things Ive listed most people would not even mention but Im super particular and honest and want to treat you (the buyer) the same way that I would want to be treated. And I would rather have you not bid then to bid and then be unhappy with the car. Other than the mentioned items the car is pretty much perfect minus the normal wear you find on any 14k mile Viper but believe me you will be amazed with the condition. As far as interior condition goes words can’t describe the condition the interior is in. It looks as if it’s never been sat in, there is no wear on the seats, the console, or carpeting. The only flaw in the entire interior is on the drivers door panel beside the door handle. There was a small chip in the rubber coating(this is very common) when I got the car and I had it repaired with a small piece of vinyl so it hardly even shows unless you are looking for it(see pic). Once again I am being as honest as I can possibly be so you will be a happy buyer. As far as the history on the car goes I have a best friend who is a car dealer and I can buy from all the large insurance auctions. But before I even get into the history of the car I first want to stress that this car DOES have a clean Tennessee title. I bought this car from a Copart Insurance auction in California back in March of 2010 with the front and rear bumper missing. The car was apparently involved in a low speed red light type hit from the rear and rolled into the car in front of it. When I bought the car the insurance company already had the rear bumper and front bumper removed to assess the damages and found that the drivers rear frame horn had one small kink in it right where the rear bumper foam reinforcement bolts to it so they deemed it a total lose. The car run and drove perfect when I bought it and was straight as an arrow with NO major frame damage at all(the first thing I paid the shop to do was check it on their laser frame machine and she checked out flawlessly). In fact when the front and back bumper where painted and installed I took it straight to the alignment shop and they verified the car was still in perfect factory spec alignment. Seriously this was the absolutely best purchase I ever made at an insurance sale it just worked out too good to be true in the end. The ONLY paintwork on the car is the front and back bumper!!!! The headlights, hood, front fenders, rear fenders and hatch are all original paint and were never touched in the accident!!!! The only parts I put on this car was front and rear bumper, the foam reinforcement behind the bumpers, and the black underpinnings under the front and back bumpers. The rear carpet kit was removed also and they did not put it back so I had to buy a new rear carpet kit but of course that would not have been considered damages. That is all I had to buy and nothing more. One more great thing about this car was the dealer had put every single nut and bolt and clip that they removed in a jug in the back of the car so the car retains all its original nuts and bolts and ever nut and bolt is in its exact location just as it was from the factory. I really am that super picky. Please understand that the car was issued a salvage certificate once they decided to pay the owner for the car but after I bought it and repaired it. It was inspected and issued a clean title so it now has a clean Tennessee title and ready to be transferred to the new owner. By having a clean title the car will be very easy to secure a loan on at any finance institute. So anyone with the proper credit and income can easily get a full loan on this car. Again I am a picky and super honest person that truly likes to treat people the way Id like to be treated and if I have grossly misrepresented this car in any way at time of pick up then I will gladly refund deposit and release the buyer from purchase. I do want to say I am not a certified mechanic or body shop person so all I can do is relay to you what I know about this car. The car is amazing and darn near flawless in every way. It drives perfect and performs even more incredibly but it’s still a used car and should be purchased as one. If you for any reason don’t feel comfortable purchasing this car with the information and pics I have provided then please do not bid. This is a high dollar item and I am brave enough to sell it @ $1 No Reserve but I really want to see my auction treated with respect. You are bidding to buy and not bidding to win then come tire kick. Any bidder is more than welcome to come inspect the car in person or have it inspected by a dealer but there will be absolutely no test drives until Im paid in full. Also I can help with shipping arrangements at buyers full expense but car will not leave my driveway till I’ve been paid in full. The mileage at time of listing is 14300. If the weather is nice I may drive the car locally some so mileage may vary a little by end of auction but once deposit is made the car will not be driven again. I will let the buyer know the exact miles and this will be the miles on the car at time of pickup or delivery. PLEASE NOTE!!!! The car is pictured with Moton Clubsport fully adjustable coilover suspension installed this will be removed and the factory coilovers will be reinstalled as soon as deposit is made. This set up cost $5500 new and this set has less than 4k miles on it. This is by far the best money you can spend on a Viper hands down. The ride and handling is improved in every way. If the high bidder would like the suspension I will let it stay on the car for $3000 above the final auction price. But please understand you are bidding on this car with the factory suspension in place at time of pick up/shipping. Thanks so much and if you wish to speak more in depth about the car feel free to call Wayne @ 731-610-627four.
