It is a turn-key cruiser ready to drive and enjoy. The exterior showcases a recent quality re-paint of the bright yellow color. The body is in exceptional condition throughout. This is a dry climate Chevelle Super Sport and it shows. The sheet metal is straight. The doors, trunk, and hood align correctly. Originally an SS396, this Chevelle features features an extremely well built high compression, pump-gas fed, 454 c.i. big block. The black vinyl top is in excellent condition. This engine produces approximately 550 horsepower. This is an excellent, freshly rebuilt high performance engine with less than 100 miles since total rebuild. With 12.1 compression, it is tuned to run on pump gas and runs excellent. The engine compartment is clean and detailed. This big block features chrome accents including the alternator, brackets, valve covers, breather etc. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support are exceptionally clean throughout. Induction is courtesy of an Edelbrock Performer RPM and Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor. Exhaust gases are expelled through Hooker Super Competion Headers to a healthy custom dual exhaust system. This interior features clean and detailed factory bucket seating restored along with the correct dash and gauges, including the functional tachometer in the dash. This is a quality interior will the correct goodies. The Hurst shifter glides through the Muncie 4-speed transmission with authority. The clutch grips excellent. The under body is exceptionally clean and solid throughout. This is a dry climate Chevelle. The rear control arms are boxed and the rear end is the stout 12-bolt unit, all correct for the Super Sport. The 1969 body style was the most aerodynamic of the Chevelle bodies. This muscular stance is thanks to the 15-Inch Super Sport wheels wrapped in 235/60 series raised white-letter tires.
