Very Cool 1948 Ford. Right out of the sixty comes this 1948 Ford Sedan with it's OK Tire advertising covering it. Last driven in 1963, then parked with a thrown rod through the pan. The owner sold the car, and went into the Service that same year. He had not seen the car for 49 years until we brought it home this fall. This cool ride has been in storage all that time. The car is a Super deLuxe, has a Clumbia two speed rear end with all the controles attached and sports it's Appleton spotlight as it did so meny years ago. The trunk lid had some custon work done back when, shaved and a third light added with inside pull release. This car is very sound with very little rust, just light surface rust and two spots through the pan, one in the center floor of the trunk and one on the drivers side floor next to the door about 2"x 5". The floor pans are in great shape and no rusr out on the body at all. (Please look at pictures closely, hard to see) The engine did pitch a rod through the pan so how much damage the engine has, we do not know. (looks like rod #2) We do have a extra pan that go's with the car to replace the bad one. The engine in the car is the numbers maching block. This car could be a cool ride as is with just a little work, and will be the talk of the show. The car dose not run so, you will need a trailer or car carrier to get it home.
