Your bidding on a 1980 Suzuki GS450. I bought this bike in pretty rough shape, it sat in a barn and under a lean-to for 15 years (Last time it was registered was 1996). Yes, the 5363 miles are original. THE GOOD I cleaned the bike up, made a rear cowl, added new handlebars, grips, and handlebar end mirrors. I then took the tank down to bare metal, fixed small holes, then primed and painted the bike with a combination of AutoAir and Martin Senour paint. I also pinstriped gloss black where the flat black meets the gloss orange. I made the seat cover and changed out the brake light. The oil filter is new, spark plugs are new, and battery is all new. The engine oil was purged to get anything out that may have been sitting in them. I also installed a new carb kit and filter pods instead of the bulky air box. The front fender was removed, and the mounts ground off on the fork tubes. This bike runs good, but needs a little final tuning but I didn't do that incase the new home is a different elevation. It is also very cold blooded, and takes a bit to warm up. I moved the tag to around the left rear shock,.. not sure if its legal, but it is visible. THE BAD/UGLY The tires are the originals, and have a lot of dry rot. They do hold air for 4-5 days, but I suggest changing them soon. The front fork seals need to be replaced along with boots installed. Since the chain on the bike is original, I would suggest changing it, but there is nothing wrong with this one. The bike smokes a little when its warming up, but once its warm it clears out and runs good. Other then that, the bike is a lot of fun to ride and cool to look at. The title is clear and in hand, but it has not been insured or registered since 1996, so I cannot allow test rides. If you want to see the bike run and drive, I would be happy to take it down the street and back in front of you to show you that it does work and run.
