1970 Mustang Convertible Up for auction: 1970 Mustang Convertible (7,673 built in 1970) Factory optioned with 351C 2v / auto / PS / PT even a 9" rearend with some hwy gears. we got this car partially restored and did some final assembly Motor and Trans have about 10k miles on them. Paint was done about 3 yrs ago, its not show car quaility but its nice enough for daily driver use. I get compliments on it everytime I drive it up to the store. But had I restored it myself there are areas I would of done nicer. They did start with a nice rust free AZ body / the pass side ft floorpan was replaced and not to bad either. Has some new items ie: Chrome GT rims & caps / Hydraulic top lines New tires / gas tank / fuel pump / carpet and some other misc interior trim. Still needs: back up lites, interior rear panels, window regulators lubed or maybe new rollers, door weatherstripping, radio and other misc stuff. Also some headlight trim pieces. INTERIOR has some black and white panels which looks acceptable but the new owner may want to finish going all white. The car deserves to get a nice Magnaflow Dual exhaust system and some PDB up front and maybe lower it an inch :) Maybe even a Mach 1 hoodscoop and white 351C stripes ? Cars starts up and drives nicely, but does have a small miss at idle, after doing a tune-up I think it may be carb related. I WONT END THE AUCTION EARLY SO DONT ASK We found the build sheet too, pretty cool. The Green wasnt the original color but this combo looks GREAT on this car and I get compliments on it whenever I drive it up to the store. If it doesnt meet reserve, Ill just keep it for a while. Either way it would be a great car to restore one way or another. There you have it, probably The BEST represented Stang on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad.
