1978 Other Makes MX

Extremely nice 1978 Maico 490 Yes 490 motor in a 78 frame. This bike was built to compete and win in Vintage MX. The 78 Maico was the best handling vintage bike and the 490 motor is a monster. If you can't get the hole shot it won't be the bikes fault The bike has the best of everything. Let's start at the front: New Buchanon spokes, Sun rim and Dunlop 756 tire, 43mm forks cut down to 10" of travel with Progressive spring and new seals, All new plastis and seat cover. Motor has been completely gone through by Maico mechanic. New piston and ring,fresh bottom end rod with new bearings, new chains,PVL ignition, After market pipe and silencer. All new cables, controls, and bars. Fresh Ohlins shocks with aluminium swing arm. New Dunlop 756 on the back with Buchanon spoke and Sun rim, New chain and sprockets as well. All fasteners are stainless steel. This bike is fresh and will have to be broken in and shook out. I built this for me to race but health reasons are stoping me from riding it.
