Up for auction is a 1970 Lotus Elan Plus 2. The car is complete and in need of restoration. It has 32,000 original miles. The paint is completely gone but the fiberglass is in excellent shape inside and out top to bottom. As you can see it has set out in the weather but is complete with the exception of the rear bumper. The front wind screen will have to be replaced and the seal on the rear wind screen gave way which is the reason the rear glass is displaced. The story behind the little fellah was the the previous owner stopped driving it when he had a carb leak some fuel. A friend came and removed the carbs in 1995 and that was all that was done. The car sat ever since. This was a real treasure for the man who had it before me but he became ill in the mid 1990's and the car sat since his illness. It is sad to see a low miles elan look in this condition but I think it's an easy restoration. I fully planned on doing it until I had heart surgery which was a life changer for me. Anyway I have the carbs and they go with the little guy and the engine turns freely and the oil is fresh so getting her to run should be like a walk in the park.
