Here's a 1981 VW Rabbit Diesel L. No many left around nowdays in this condition. *We brought this car back on 12-21-11 and drove it til 02-22-12 and it just all of a sudden stop. Check the video below to hear what it sounds like now when we try to start it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqTYavKu-OE&feature=youtu.be *Probably you or a good machanic can get it started again. *Mileage on dash reads 127,703, however the odometer doesn't work. *TMU = True Miles Unknown. *This car will be Sold As Is. No Warranty. *No battery. We have not change the timing belt. *The 4 spd manual transmission shift out fine. The cluch pedal is just a little low or soft and once again shift out fine with no problem. *There maybe some noise from underneath the exhaust around the front to mid-way of the tail pipe. It's sort of loud to me at times. But It quiet out a bit when driving tho. *No A/C compressor. No Heater/core. *When it rains heavy water gets in from the hood vents, down thur the flat inside tray/fire wall and drips behind under dash onto the floor carpet. *The headlights, dash gauges, manual roll-up windows etc. works. You have to manual work the turn signals. *The vinyl driver front seat shows tears, the other vinyl portion of the seats looks to be fine. *Car may require some cleaning or freshen up etc. to accommodate your personal preference, if you so choose to do so when you receive. *The winshield is fine. *The carpet is soil an mildew a bit. No headliner. No Sun Visors. *Car may show some minor very small rust in places, looks not to be real major. *The beige paint looks to be in good shape for it's age. Those silver ornaments can be taken off, we will leave that up to you. *The 4 - 14" wheels/rims has wheel locks on them and we do not have puzzle key to take them off. *The right front tire has a flat spot defect in the center of the tread and rides a little bumpy on that side tire. This tire need to be replaced. *No jack. No radio. *A straight wire has been run to the battery to operate the front wipers and also one run to operate the coolant fan. *The Coolant fan has to be on at all time to keep from running hot. * The yellow glow light on dash stays on all the time. There a small hole in the trunk under floor pan spare tire compartment. The body on this car is straight, the door wells are fine, very little rust in place not real major.
