This is now a 25 year classic 1987 Grand Wagoneer that looks nice and runs even better. As you can appreciate through Autocheck provided here by Ebay It is a TRUE well documented low mile Waggy. I bought it from an older couple who were the OG owners; they bought it in La Grange, Texas for their daughter who was going to college there, and once she finished her studies she deided to buy a smaller car to get around and this couple brought it back to Los Angeles where it's been since the end of 1991. They never used it much and thus the miles. During the last 15 years it went from sparingly being used to almost no use...and that's why they decided to part with it. Now, since I bought it (not long ago) I took to the task of servicing it and bringing it to above regular standards, it needed some TLC as servicing the 5 power windows (including the rear) and power locks, they all work now and never fail to go down and up. I installed an alarm with the clicker/key fob which is very convenient, for you can lock and unlock all doors at the push of a button. I also had it painted with the same OG color and had the woodgrain vynil professionally replaced with new one made by 3M. There are practically 4 new Michelin tires which the previous owners bought before passing it down to me, I'd say they have 90-95% life left. (pictures will show) I had the windows tinted to 20%, that is the medium tinting, not the darkest limousine tint. I know I will forget to mention some of the stuff in my description but if I think of any as the auction moves on I will update the info. Mechancally I had it gone through and the following was done: New spark plugs, cables, rotor, cap, fuel and air filter, also changed a couple of hoses, installed a new muffler, (had a fresh oil change when I got it less than 200 miles ago so no need for that, next oil change is due according to the window sticker at 83k plus miles). I had it carburated too, it runs smooth with no shaking whatsoever and the engine responds strong. Also, there are no tapping noises coming from the engine, the transmission shifts as it should, no jerking or hard shifting. The differential has no whining noises. It doesn't leak any oil and doesn't run hot, I've never seen the gauge go over a quarter in tempature. All gauges work perfect, fuel, oil, battery and temperature. The a/c blows cold, the heater blows hot as it should, all lights work (inside and out), the only thing not working properly is the OG radio and the cruise control, which I'm having looked at this coming week, if I fix them I'll update this info, too. I use the tape deck with my ipod adapter now, that works but the radio doesn't. The OG Marchal fog lights work, the 4x4 on the fly works, too. Also, when you go over bumps or railroad tracks there are no rattling noises, suspension is tight and when door panels were removed to service the windows and locks they were professionally put back with OG clips and fasteners. This Wagoneer is registered in CA until Dec,18-2012 and it does come with its somg check good 'til April, 24-2012. I have the clear CA title in my hand and under my name, too. Other miscellaneous things I want to mention is that the inside is very clean, it does have the original Jeep mats and there are no broken parts. I ordered all new weatherstrips for all 5 windows and had them installed (including the rear window), these are the rubber thingies that hold the windows and cleans them when going up and down and that also serve to block debris from entering inside within the door panels, (they tend to brittle and crack with time), they are all new! By the way, the rear window DOES work from the back with the key and with the push of the button from inside the car. This is a good running, nice looking eye catcher American Icon. They're very scarce now, even with high miles and beat to hell, but this one here is a rare classic Waggy that Im sure not only will serve as transportation to the new owner but could also be a good investment. I'm not in the fortunetelling gig but I don't think they will depreciate...on the contrary, they might not only hold their value but appreciate over time, which cars do that nowadays? I want to stress out that eventhough it is in good shape this is by no means a show car; it is 25 years old!
