Bidding on our Auto Auctions. Please take note that we require either a zero feedback bidder or a new ebayer to call the office before bidding on our Autos. It is only fair to the other bidders that the price is not artificially inflated by and inexperienced or non serious bidder who has no history or feedback that we can use to validate their intention to follow through with the sale. Since there is no way to block these bids we will simply cancel them as they occur. We also require that you already have a paypal account before you may bid on our Autos. If you are a serious buyer without a paypal account please call the office and we can exempt you from this requirement. 518-891-0100 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 518-891-0100 end_of_the_skype_highlighting Our customer brought the car in to the garage to assess the damage from the car, snowbank encounter. We did not see the scene of the actual crash but we have been told by the owner that his son lost control on an icy road (as is apt to happen hereabouts) and hit the opposite side of the road snowbank then ditch. What we found is that the front bumper supports are shifted about and inch to the right from the offset impact. These supports are part of the frame but the damage appears to be isolated to the first 12 to 16 inches and everything seems fine beyond that. Mechanically the only casualty was the power steering pump and the drive belt. The pump pully contacted the frame and bent causing the drive belt to shred. We can't tell if the pump and pully or just the pully will need to be replaced. The radiator and AC condensor seem fine. The radiator support, grill support and headlight supports are bent but can be straightened. We had a frame shop look at the front and quoted 500 to put everything back into place. Fenders are fine, Hood will need to be replaced, Grill, bumper and bumper cover are gone. Headlight assemblies on both sides are gone. We quoted the repair at 2500 retail. We have offered 600 for the vehicle. That will be the reserve. This is a great DYI project since there was no collision on this car so there is no impact on the title. If we buy it we are going to take the opportunity to make it a bad, bad truck, doing a 6" lift and mudders and a custom front end. You may have different ideas. We have road tested the car and everything seems fine, it runs, shifts and tracks as it should. It will not start with the key, we push start it, might be a starter, might be a fusable link or broken wire. You own it, you figure it out, we own it and we will : ) We don't consider it a big deal. The owner has removed the aftermarket radio and speakers (and not a pretty job) but nothing that will prevent an original or other radio from being installed. We only have limited pics for the moment. I will get some additional pics of the underside when I have free garage space. (a couple of days I would think). Tires on the car are new. Motor was replace at 140k with a used 30K motor and a clutch was installed at the same time. If not for this we may have scrapped it out, but seems a shame to let a good mechanical car go to waste. We are reasonably confident that you could put tags on this and drive it home. Since we are not the owner though and often do not have a complete repair history we may miss items. We value our customers though and we encourage you to inspect the vehicle before you bid but we understand that this may not be possible. For cars that are shipped or delivered they must be returned to us and will will issue refund based upon our actual expenses for the transaction and expense we incurred and the balance of the sale price will be refunded in cash.On Feb-13-12 at 14:43:49 PST, seller added the following information: We have had a ton of interest in this vehicle and several have made offers of 650 but no one has pulled the trigger at that price. But if I am going to let it go to them for that price then everyone should have the same opportunity. I lowered the buy it now to 675 which covers the ebay and paypal selling fees and leaves the 600 we wanted to get for it. Best of luck to all. As I keep telling the emailers and callers: the first one who hits the button gets it. We can't hold if for you.
