Up for bids is this smooth running Chevrolet bus. It was the SWAT truck for a small town just south of Dallas. It has an upper deck built from steel and expanded metal with an additional 5 feet that folds forward to enter those second stories. It is sturdy. The ladder/steps are angled so you can walk down them facing out like stairs. The custom back deck makes the bumper to bumper length about 26 feet. There are pull out platforms on either side with grab bars for external commandos. It is equipped with a solar battery tender that keeps the dual batteries at peak charge. The six tires all match with low miles. The manual choke works smoothly and starts the 350 Gas motor every time. The engine purrs with no missing, smoking, or drips. It has front disc brakes and the brakes are hydraulic so it can be driven by anyone with a license. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. There is a roof vent wired for 110V A/C. It currently has a one piece plastic vent covering the opening. There is a trap door in the floor for discreet egress. There is a wide door w/fold down steps just left of the folding door. The inside is empty. I currently have some carts and cabinets in there, but nothing is attached. The police department I bought it from had lost the keys so I bought a new ignition switch. Since I've bought it, it's been on a trip of over 200 miles. Clear title in my name. The interior floor is solid with zero rust and a nice heavy duty black paint applied. The window tint is sub par but works. I originally bought it to make into a rolling shop but am going to use a stepvan with a liftgate instead. Call or email any questions.
