This beautiful car has been meticulously restored to OE specs. One of only 98, '71 Charger R/T 440 Six Packs ever made. With a triple green color combo, front and rear spoilers, V21 black out hood, black R/T stripes and an N96 Air Grabber hood, this may be the only one on the planet like it. While there may be other V code Chargers for sale, this is a one of a kind, collector quality car that makes no apologies. OWN a piece of history...This car was restored on the reality TV show, Graveyard Carz. It was featured in season I, which comes out next month on Discovery Velocity here in the US and Discovery Turbo in the UK. It was also featured in 3 episodes of Season II that is still in production. The Charger was featured in an article, January 2011, of Auto Enthusiast Magazine. VALIDATION: Original fender tag, original broadcast sheet, clear title, numbers matching body (core support and cowl). Will email pictures upon request. ENGINE: The motor is a 1971 "G" 440 Hp2. It is completely rebuilt including brand new Keith Black Pistons, reconditioned rods, balancing, rebuilt heads and hardened seats!-specs on request. All bolt on items including valve covers, exhaust manifolds, distributor, power steering pump and cooler, are all correct and reconditioned. Hoses, belts, wires, etc., are reproduction-date coded correct. Carburetors are brand new Holley reproductions. TRANSMISSION: The transmission is a correct, date coded 727 torque flite. It is completely rebuilt to factory specs other than a mild shift kit for positive shift. The kick down linkage is the correct, 1 piece and functioning correctly. This unit was detailed to OE specs before installing. Transmission mount, linkage and fasteners are all restored. REAR AXLE: This Charger R/T was one of only a few made with a 3.23, open axle and a 22" radiator. The rear end is the original to the car and is restored to OE Specs, including brakes, bearings and seals. New leaf spring liners, clamps, bushings, bearings and gaskets. Axle housing was stripped and painted in correct black and all bolt on hardware is refinished or replated. Drive shaft is painted and detailed, including brand new U-joints. COOLING: One of the hardest parts to find for this car was the 3443938. This radiator has been completely rebuilt and restored with a new core. It is MINT condition and rare as hens teeth. The fan is the correct 5 blade fan. BODY: This car was chemically dipped and stripped of everything before the body restoration began. Still wearing it's original quarters, this body is flawless. Only replacement or metal repair was performed. The paint is PPG Base Coat, GF3-Bright Green, or Sherwood green in the Plymouth line up. The car was pre painted in single stage Deltron, then assembled, then base coat, clear coat. I sprayed it in PPG 2002 Poly Urethane. I take special pride in the final paint of my restorations. As a winner of multiple first place trophies for paint, I make every effort to exceed peoples expectations. INTERIOR: Every inch of the interior is either new, rebuilt, replaced or reconditioned. Steering column was disassembled, detailed and rebuilt. Seat tracks were disassembled, glass beaded, painted and rebuilt. Dash and instrument panel, including NOS wiper switch are all reconditioned. Door panels, seats, headliner and carpet are brand new, correct, Legendary items. Professionally installed, this interior looks like it did the day it rolled off the assembly line. Hard to find items such as a green console and lower trim panels were dyed and reconditioned to factory specs. GLASS, MOLDINGS, TRIM: Windshield is new, side glass and back glass are dated and correct. Window mechanisms were rebuilt and function perfectly. Chrome bumpers are fresh and triple plated. Trim is all restored ore new. Grille is restored as are tail lights. All lights function perfectly. WHEELS: Original date coded 15X7 wheels with restored, original centers. Beauty rings are correct but are reproduction. Tires are brand new Goodyear Polyglas GT. F60-15.
