A lift-off hood, black steelies and oval air cleaner make it a faithful tribute to the famous 1969-1/2 440 6 BBL car.Purchased in 2010 from the second owner in NJ, who had owned the car for 25 years. Car underwent a full restoration in the late 1990's involving replacement of both quarter panels and the trunk floor. A very solid and dependable car. Many receipts for work completed.Includes rare combination of 4-speed, bucket seats, pop-out rear windows and stainless pillar trim options. Black interior was restored with new seat covers, roof liner, carpet and Legendary door panels.The 4 speed was completely rebuilt in 2010 with new all new parts from Passon and Brewers. 1970 dated 383 was freshened up with a 750 Edelbrock and vintage dual plane intake, MP electronic conversion and a full tune up. Rare HP manifolds exhaust through dual Flowmaster 40's for a great sound.New gas tank and aftermarket gauges (tach, temperature, pressure and voltage)- this is a very reliable car. Drove from Atlanta to Daytona Beach for the Turkey Rod Run in 2010 without a problem and turning heads all the way. 900 mile round trip 3.23 gears with the heavy duty 489 rear end makes for good highway cruising.The car was treated to a new lift-off hood from Year One in early 2011 and a windshield replacement. Driven to many car shows around Atlanta including Caffeine and Octane- a real head-turner with the beep-beep horn.
