You are bidding on a Super Clean 2002 Ford Excursion Limited that has been converted to burn any diesel, Bio-diesel or Straight Vegetable Oil. You can run diesel or any combination of bio-diesel or straight Veggie Oil. STRAIGHT VEGETABLE OIL: Please don’t mistake this for Bio-Diesel. Bio needs to be “made” each and every batch. Straight Veggie oil means the system is already installed to the truck so all you do is “filter” the veggie oil and run it straight in the engine. The second tank that is installed holds only diesel. So, you start and stop the truck on regular diesel, once the oil is heated in about 3-5 minutes, you flip tank switch to run on veggie oil. Then, when you are about 4 miles to the house, switch it back to regular diesel so the lines are filled with diesel overnight. It’s all automatic! This Excursion has an additional 20-gallon diesel tank, which is used to purge the veggie oil lines. The factory tank holds the veggie oil. You can run veggie oil or diesel in the factory tank. This complete, automatic system was purchased for $4,000 from: http://www.goldenfuelsystems.com/ It cost an additional $1,500 to install. We also upgraded to a FASS fuel pump. HPFP 1004.FASS Pump, which cost $499. So, total we have about $6,000 actual dollars in the Veggie system. It works fantastic! The engine actually runs better on veggie oil and you can hear it make less noise when running because I believe it is better “lubed”. We love these systems and we actually run two excursions on veggie oil. It's awesome to fill it up, put some extra boxes of oil in the trunk, and drive anywhere for free! My wife is just tired of driving a big car and wants a sports car, but I will continue to drive my Excursion on Veggie Oil! My wife “babies” this truck and won’t let me drive it because I drive it like a man. The high dollar Michelin tires have 9,000 miles on them and we just had a brake job completed. The motor runs perfect and strong, the inside and outside are in great condition. And, it's ready to run on veggie oil! Diesel prices are expected to hit $5 a gallon THIS summer!
