1949 Dodge grain truck with 13 ' box and hoist. Model B-1F152. Serial # 80355578. 14500 GVW. Engine Serial # 1X342-6722. Truck has been shedded most of it's life. No major rust issues. Truck is in good condition for a 49. Rear tires are very good. Front tires are old, but useable. Don't remember what the miles are. Call me after a few days and I will have them by then. Truck has a Giant brand grain box. It is a short sided box and is in good condition. It also has a good Obeco brand hoist. Body is straight, except for the back of the cab is pushed in. I think it could be easily popped out fairly easily (see photos). I bought this truck on a farm auction and drove it on my trailer. I started it several times in the month it sat on the trailer and it started easily and didn't smoke. Gages work, but not sure if speedometer works, as didn't drive it fast enough to tell. Truck had sat in a shed for several years before I bought it, and fuel pump was leaking. I hauled the truck 100 miles to my farm and drove it off the trailer, but it ran out of fuel and stopped. I think the fuel got sloshed around on the trip and plugged up the fuel lines, or the fuel pump may have just quit, as it was previously leaking. Never had any trouble with it running until I hauled it the 100 miles. Truck is a 6 volt and needs a battery. While I was moving the truck the front brakes were dragging. Brakes are flat and I have not ever put fluid in them to see if they will work. Truck has a 2 speed axle, but selector cable is stuck. All sheet metal is good, however it appears that the left door was replaced at one time. I am just stating what I see wrong with it. Overall it's a pretty good truck for a 49 and the box is grain tight. Box has a removeable 4" board on the top. Get it running, get the brakes running, and you will have a pretty good truck for an acreage or parade. Truck has a clear Kansas title in my name. Truck is located 55 miles southwest of Lincoln, NE. Truck can sit for 3 months outside on farm if you need it to until you pick it up, however I will not be responsible for damage due to fire, flood, theft, vandalism, etc. I have a tractor and loader, so we can push it onto your trailer if necessary. Want $200 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of auctin end, and prefer balance in cash, but would take a personal check, but the truck has to sit 14 days after I cash the check before you can pick it up.
