Vehicle Detail
Excellent condition, un-common and fun to drive car in original colors. It still has the depression-era fuel ration ticket on the split windshiels. It has the manual wiper, segmented wood tilt wheel! driver's side mirror, Ford aluminum step guard, tufted seats, wire wheels, spare tire with cover, and the original wood floor boards through which the battery is accessed. It is not "restored" but needs very little if you must have it perfect. The chrome on the radiator shows a few rust spots starting. The inner lining of the convertible top is gone although the outer shell is in good condition. The odometer and fuel gage do not work. I'm not sure that the winged radiator temp guauge works either. The timing lever on the left side works fine but the right hand lever is not functional. I have owned the car for a few years and have driven it around 30 miles total. It starts fine, drives well, and gets honks and thumbs up everywhere we go. The original signature horn still gets smiles out of people every time. I have driven it as fast as 45 mph (with someone following me to see haw fast we're going) but it gets scary at that speed, specially knowing you only have two drum breaks in the rear with no hydraulic assist if you need to stop fast! A few knowledgable old-timers have told me that I have a '26 Model T with a Model B (1932-34) higher oputput 4 cylinder engine and Model B center-mounted 3 speed transmission. The clutch and transmission as well as the electric starter seem to be in good condition. The breaks, I'm told, are a late 30's/ early 40's upgrade to hydraulics. The Wire wheels are apparently Model A. It has been garage kept for as long as I and the previous owner have had it. I have changed the oil a couple of times and changed the battery once. It hasn't needed much else. Tires are in excellent condition and have very little wear on them. Please email me with any questions and I'll try to answer best I can or send you more pictures. The car is sold As Is Where Is. I accept a cashier's check, paypal, or direct wire transfer as payment. Deposit of $500 is required within 2 days of close of auction.
