Vehicle Detail

This is a neat little 66 Ford F100. It has a later model small block engine that came from a 302 mustang and a C4 automatic with a B&M shifter and a brand new cable. The engine has the newer style serpentine ribbed belt drive and equipped with an aluminum Eldelbrock intake manifold and Carborator, Headers, Flow Master mufflers with good solid pipes and a crossover balance pipe. It sounds really good. It has a 9 inch rear end, American racing chrome wheels with baby moons and Cooper Cobra G/T Radials with super deep rubber, Power steering and drum brakes all the way around. The pedal went to the floor when I got it so I replaced the master cylinder and when bleeding the system found the front wheel cylinders needed replaced as well as the right front hose and the rear hose so those are all new and done. It also has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil & filter change. This little truck is very solid and pretty straight considering it is 46 years old! I dont think I've ever seen a truck this old without any dents inside the bed and the gate opens and closes good. The cab has a little hole in the lower right corner to small to even get a pinky finger in. The truck has had one repaint at some point but I cant see the first sign of any body work ever being done and the truck has always been red. The rocker panels are rock solid so dont let the primer in the door jamb fool you.The right front fender has been replaced with a used one and has some unfinished body work on it but looks like a good solid piece. The worst thing I can see is the cab center support brace is rusted out on the ends.( see photo) This could be sectioned in without removing the cab and should be a cheap part to buy or fabricate since its just a flat channel. The cab doesnt seem weakend by it one bit. It also has a very sturdy reece type hitch welded in place. The truck was a manual shift from the factory and the clutch pedal has been cut off below the bracket so anyone wanting to go back to a manual could just hang a new pedal. The steering colmn is from and automatic so someone changed it to get rid of the colmn shift lever. All the guage lights work in the istrument cluster, shifter and cluster under the dash. The wipers havent run and I havent looked into why yet. The engine runs but the carb seems to be in need of adjusting since you have to fiddle with the gas pedal to keep it running but seems to improve when it gets good and warmed up this condition seems to improve every time I drive it. I have only driven the truck around my neiborhood and with no tags or insurance didnt get it out on the open road. I would plan on bringing a trailer. I originaly located it for a relative that was looking for a father daughter project truck. I had stopped many times when the owner wasnt home and looked at it. When it came time to buy it the father daughter build the idea had been put on hold and new College fees had become the priority. After driving past this little truck every day I couldnt take it anymore and bought it for myself. My plan is that I hoped I have bought this well enough that I can make a few bucks for my own Nova project. Im a Chevy guy but while tinkering on this thing like most old American Iron started to like this little truck. This truck has great patina and would be fun as is but would be about as good of a restoration starter as you could hope for if you want to mint one of these out. I will trailer it in your direction once it is paid for at a fee of $1.50 per loaded mile up to 250 miles, that would save someone 500 miles total. I may go further if for some reason I could find a car in your area that I wanted to pick up. Of course this is sold as is and no guarantees or warantee apply. Feel free to ask me any questions or ask for additional photo's of any part of this truck you want to see. Thank you and happy bidding!
