Vehicle Detail

This is a 1977 Ford F100 Custom Pickup Truck. Daily driver, restore as you roll. Always starts. Runs and drives great. I fondly poured all kinds of money and attention into it, of which now you benefit from. Original Ford 300, 4.9 liter engine.Three speed transmission, on the column: big open gears, does 75 mph easily.Very good & solid brakesGood clutchPower steeringNew power steering pump and beltNew starting moduleNew startung solenoidNew electronic distributorNew fuel pumpNew coilNew distributor wiresNew spark plugsNew pcv valveNew exhaustNew carburetorNew alternatorNew starterNew RadiatorNew batteryNew fuel tank, sending unit, and some fuel linesNew heavy duty rear shocks and mountsRefreshed rear leaf springs: added one leaf per side, re-bound, new u-boltsAll lights work and function properlyHeat works, functions properlySpare parts: Carb & rebuild kit, fuel pump, heater control unit, ignition module, coil & wiresClear titleOriginal owners manual, ID card, and complete CD shop manuals included I bought this f-100 as an interim truck after an accident, while I readied my 1969 f-250, with the same Ford 300 motor for use. I love the older Ford 300 motors. I find them rugged, with torque to spare, and full of longevity. I drove this f-100 daily, for hundreds of miles with no problems. It is dependable, powerful, quick and fun to drive. The motor leaks a little oil, but doesn't burn it. It has a high ticky sound which indicates an eventual need for a valve spring adjustment. The cab supports are ok. The outside cab corners are gone, while the inside remain good. The previous owner applied tape to the outside cab corner, which let remain. The diver side floor is good. The passenger side floor is weak. The bed is pretty rusty underneath, yet still remains supported. The bed fenders are rusty at the edges. Rusty but trusty. The truck is currently in Round Lake Beach, IL. If you wish to arrange shipping, please do so, and communicate your intentions to me. The truck will need to be picked up within one week of the end of the auction. Or, no matter where you live, near or far, you can securely drive him home. Be well, and enjoy. -Doug
