First year of this Panamerica show car. Matador Red with White Convertible Top, Red/White Leather Interior. Very good original leather. Engine: Completely rebuilt Thunderbolt Straight 8 Engine (pistons, all bearings, valves, guides, keepers, springs, oil pump, timing chain, sprocket, etc), rebuilt 4 barrel Carter carburetor. Cooling system: rebuilt water pump, re-cored radiator, replaced all hoses, rebuilt heater valve assembly. Electrical system: rebuilt generator, starter, new voltage regulator. Brake system: new pistons, brake shoes, hoses, lines, turn drums, master cylinder. Fuel system: new fuel pump, restored gas tank & float assembly. Hydraulic system: Windows were going up slow have done the following done; hydraulic pump rebuilt, hydraulic pump motor rebuilt, new high and low pressure lines at the firewall installed, actuator valve assembly rebuilt. Parts are being supplied and some rebuilding by Hydro-E-Lectric (Punta Gorda, Florida). Exhaust system replaced. Denman Wide Whitewall Classic tires. Two owners in the last 35 years, I have owned the Packard Caribbean since 1995. All work performed by my company Jaguar Performance Center Inc. since I purchased the Caribbean in 1995. 1,500 miles or less on all rebuilds. This Packard is a great and fun driver; it starts and runs smoothly. You can balance an upright nickel on the cylinder head while idling. Caribbean has all options (Wonderbar Radio, Heater, Power Windows, Power Seat, Power Convertible Top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, and Power Antennae). What this Caribbean needs: · new paint job, has lacquer paint that has aged (cracking and chipping). · new plastic rear window for convertible top · technician at Hydro-E-Lectric says my mechanic is probably not bleeding the system properly, so currently the hydraulic system is not up and running.
