I am selling a 1953 Ford F100 99% original short-bed pick-up. It has a 55 front grill on it. I have restored 9 vehicles in the last 8 yrs. I would catagorize this project as a straight forward restoration. Everything is there and usable. The chassis is in excellent condition. All cross members and fender supports are solid with minor surface rust. The frame is the same. The body has surface rust...more of a patina vs. rust with no rust through. The front of the hood will need a tiny rust repair, and the fenders where the side rails connect will need some minor repair. It had a wooden bed that is "shot". The floor pans are solid with no holes. The fire wall is solid with no holes.Other than that, the body is in almost perfect shape and a very easy job for a body professional. The current motor is a Y-block 256 CID V8 motor.It has what I believe to be the original 3-speed synchronized tranny. The original bench seat is missing. All of the glass is there along with the original handles inside and out. The rear window will need replaced as it is cracked. The tailgate is in perfect condition.
