Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is an extremely rare 1933 Ford Roadster pickup. This is a street rod and was built about 5 years ago and has been driven very little. I hate to sell this but I just don't drive it enough to keep it. The mileage on the odometer reads 003055 miles. The fibreglass body is build by Gibbon. The chassis is build by Total Cost Involved (TCI) and features an independent front suspension, disc brakes, and a 9 inch Ford rear end with 3.25:1 gears and a front and rear sway-bar. The differential is an open (non-posi) type with 28 spline axles and drum brakes. All of the suspension pieces are polished stainless steel. The engine is a Chevrolet ZZ-4 short block with Edelbrock heads and roller rockers. The camshaft is the ZZ-4 roller tappet cam. The engine also features a HEI distributor and an Edelbrock 650cfm carburettor and a March serpentine pulley assembly and is topped off with Moon valve covers and air cleaner. The exhaust uses ceramic coated block hugger headers followed by a stainless steel pipes and aero-turbine mufflers. This engine runs really great and has plenty of power. The engine uses 2700cfm electric fan and a Walker radiator. The engine always runs cool on hot days. The car has air-conditioning and a cruse control. The transmission is a 700R4 4-speed automatic. The car features a fully upholstered lift-off top which when turned sideways will fit in the pickup bed. The dashboard is from a '32 Ford and features an Auburn insert. There is very little chrome on this vehicle. Most of the brightwork is done with polished stainless or polished aluminium. The wheels and caps are made by Billet Specialties Tires are p185-60R15 front and p235-60R17 rear. This car drives and handles really nice, although it is a little loud! This vehicle is titled in Oregon as 1933 Ford assembled vehicle. Winning bidder to pay via wire transfer within 48 hours and to arrange transport. A few things I forgot to mention. The grille is made by Valley and is very nice. Aluminium side vents on the hood side panels keep the engine compartment from overheating. The hood is a 3-piece Rootlib and features a Dan Fink hinge and latch assembly. The box was built by Dan Carpenter and the wood in the box is oak. Bed stays and latch assembly built by Wow products keeps the tailgate in check. The bed strips feature hidden fasteners. A custom built rollpan assembly also houses the '39 Ford LED tail lights. A motor driven radio antenna is located in one of the stake bed pockets. The stakebed pickets are filled. The car has nice sound system and a subwoofer located under the seat. The banjo steering wheel if from the Wheel Shoppe. As previously mentioned, the body is fibreglass but so are the fenders and running boards. The hood, box and inner fender panels are steel. Lastly, although the car is built with air-conditioning, the unit is not charged and only the heater is operational. You can see the car run and drive by looking at 3 clips on youtube.
