Vehicle Detail
1971 Sprout Green Honda QA50 You are bidding on a nice piece of Honda heritage. This QA50 has undergone some improvements recently. The following have been powder coated, frame, wheels, seat frame, engine case and cylinder, exhaust, foot rest, kickstand & spring as well as the levers. Rubber that was not replaced is in good shape. Rear tire is about 75% and front is new. Brake shoes are in good shape. Brake cables show some aging, but are in good shape. Tank is not rusty inside and has been repainted with the fenders to match the cool 70's Sprout Green. Throttle cable is new. Engine has new rings and runs well for its age and is a non-smoker. The friend I obtained this unit from was the original owner and has had this sitting in a box, in his garage for over 25 years. This QA50 is about 95% as I have not been able to find the proper clamps for the air cleaner or muffler. The oil dipstick has the edges broken off as well. Of these, the air cleaner is the original and has not been refinished as it still has the original sealing glue and the muffler is in good working order, not smashed or rusted out. The muffler has been powder coated with a high temp silicone base powder to withstand heat. While not able to compete with the newer minibikes performance wise, this is an excellent example of Honda history and the progression of off-road motorcycles. Due to storage issues, I am forced to reduce the number of my toys. The reserve on this QA50 is just to cover my expenses. I can help with delivery with arrangments prior to auction end. I don't agree with the advertisement "I reserve the right to end the auction early... etc", so please do not ask me to do that. I will try to answer questions as fast as possible, so please ask before bidding. If you have less than 2 feedback, please contact me so I can verify that you are a serious bidder so that everyone has a fair chance. Good Luck! Happy Bidding!
