Vehicle Detail

I purchased this 4x4 Vanagon Syncro in December of 2007 in Laguna Beach California. We flew from Austin, Tx, jumped in the van and headed straight up the California coast on a six week road trip and all the way home to Austin. Since then it has been high in the Rocky Mountains three times and on countless camping trips in the texas hill country. The 2.2 Subaru Legacy engine had 130k on it when it was rebuilt and installed by Europro in Costa Mesa, May 2006 at a total cost of $11,751.67. At this time the chassis had 142038 original miles on it. Currently, this rig has just under 193k miles total, 51k since rebuilt Subaru engine was installed. I have original receipt for the stated work as well as mechanics notes. The VW 4x4 Transaxle was rebuilt by Long Enterprises / Volkswagon Transaxle Specialists in Sept 2005, total cost was $3760.82. At that time a decoupler (front differential lockout) was installed and works perfectly. I have all original receipts for the stated work. In the fall of 2011, I replaced the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and main bearing with Kennedy Engineerings latest kit while we were pulling the gas tank to do a complete re-seal (go-westy) and replace the fuel level sending unit. At the time the clutch was working fine, I just decided to replace everything while we had the gas tank pulled. Total cost was $2887.23. I have original receipts. The exhaust is custom built, ceramic coated with a stainless steel muffler. It has a swing away spare tire rack attached to the rear frame and 5 Michelin Hydroedge Tires (70%) mounted on 16" Audi rims. I replaced the original suspension with Old Man Emu all the way around. The interior is mostly stock with typical wear for its age, after market carpeted floor mats and a go westy center console between the front seats. The front dash is completely intact and has a carpeted dash cover. All of the instruments (speedo, tack, temp, fuel, etc) work reliably. The stereo is a JVC cd with usb and mp3 port and sony infinity speakers front and back. Also included is a colgan custom bra for the front end and thule top racks with two bike carriers. The paint is stock savannah metallic with minor scratches and dings. This vehicle passed the State of Texas Inspections, including emissions, in Nov 2011 and all registration is current.
