For sale we have a 1996 Volkswagen Passat TDI featuring the legendary 1.9L Turbo Diesel. This passat was traded-in at Montesi VW for a newer Passat TDI. This passat runs and drives excellent. The 1.9L motor starts right up and it sounds solid. I've seen this cars go up to 500-K miles with ease! The manual transmission is smooth and the clutch grabs strong. For its age I gotta say that the body is in great shape... There's only 2 small rust bubbles on the paint but nothing crazy nothing major nothing visible. The inside is very clean as well, the headliner as always will need some attention but it's not that bad. The a/c is cold, heat is warm, all 4 windows go up and down, sun-roof works good, cruise control, radio. The tires are very good. This car drives very good and it is very fuel efficent.
