For sale we have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 LT 4x4 crew cab featuring the 6.6L Duramax Turbo Diesel with the automatic Allison transmisison. This is the best year Duramax to have because in 2006 many changes were done to these trucks. The truck has 360 hp at 3200 rpm and a wopping 650 lb.-ft of torque! In addition to the power increase in the Silverado all 2006 Duramax engines have been significantly revised to deliver lower emissions and significantly improved quietness and smoothness in every application. New Six-Speed Allison: Selecting the "Manual" gear selector position allows the you to use the +/- buttons on the shift lever to manually control the new (for 2006) six-speed Allison automatic. With addition to the 6 Speed Transmission there were other upgrades such as: Upgraded 310-mm torque converter that raises the torque limit & capacity, New 22-tooth pump that runs quieter and smoother, New solenoids provide better converter lock-up control and shift feel, Upgraded clutch components that improve torque limit & capacity and a New A40, 32-bit transmission control module. With that said, this truck runs excellent. The motor starts right up no matter how cold it is outside. The transmission shifts perfectly smooth. The 4x4 goes in and out perfect. The truck has the LT trim so you have all the options inside such as power everything, heated seats, sun-roof, cd player, on-star, a/c, cruise control etc... The outside body is well kept besides the dent on the driver's rear and a few chip rocks in the front hood. The inside is well kept as well. The tires are really good with plenty of tread remaining.
