2ndowner purchased this vehicle with low-mileage from a Mercedes-Benz dealership and now offers this car for sale. This car has enjoyed many weekend get-a-ways adding to the mileage and now needs a good mechanic. Tire treads in very good condition with Michelin Harmony P205/55R16 tires (purchased August 2011). Comfortable ride with good alignment and steering. Replaced springs & shocks (front in Jan ’10 and rear in June ’09). Replaced left & right thrust arms (Oct ’11) and right, lower control arm (Sept ’10). Engine starts well (battery replaced March 2010). Brake pads were replaced in front (Sept ’10) and rear (Oct ’11). Recently replaced windshield washer pump (Oct’11). Replaced water pump & idle pulley (Jan ’10). Six (6) disk CD player in the glove compartment and radio. Heated, leather, front seats. Power sun-roof in good condition. Mechanical Issue(s): Engine light is on cluster instrumentation. Car has difficulty accelerating out of first gear, but the automatic transmission appears to have no difficulty in second thru fourth gears eventually accelerating to freeway speed. Car is burning engine oil and emits smoke out of the tail-pipe upon engine start-up, and considerable smoke (at times) out of the tail-pipe between third and fourth gear. I have not noticed any oil leaks on the pavement from the engine. Sounds also like a periodic engine knock. Exterior: Recently detailed exterior. Visible paint bubbling in areas on this car characteristic of this model year. Several rust spots on right door, and along the bottom, and around the wheel wells. Minor small dent on front right quarter-panel, and passenger side door. Right front wheel rim is bent, however, there appears to be no impact to the steering alignment. Windshield is cracked on the passenger side of the car. Interior: Recently detailed interior. Speaker cover on passenger-side is cracked. Driver-side seat cover is being re-upholstered (in-progress). Headliner in rear seat area is drooping. Rear defrost in good condition. Heater and A/C blower is marginal. Drive selector base cover is loose. IMPORTANT:1) Bidders Take Note - Transfer of title will occur with actual mileage, sales price, and at the local Secretary of State's office. Title is clear. 2) There are mechanical issues with this car's engine and/or tranmission, and I am not aware of exactly the problem nor the extent. You should have a qualified mechanic inspect this car, as any used car you intend to purchase. As with any used vehicle there may be issues that I have overlooked or am unaware of.
