This is for a 1971 Oldsmobile 88 Royale convertible.The car is currently marron with white interior.It has only been painted once.The original color was a rare copper metallic.I included a photo of spot ,in the top well, that shows this color well.This was a very cool color.You can also see evidence of it where I pealed off the cheap stick on body side moulding.see photos. This car is loaded with all options including,tilt wheel,Power windows,power seat,power locks, heated back glass,cornering lamps,full power acc, and all 5 of the super rare SSIV wheels with all the caps and correct trim rings.This car has been sitting inside a garage/barn for many years before I got it.I have it running off a remote gas tank and it runs good.Even the choke still works.I put new spark plugs in the 455 and runs good and does not smoke,tick, or knock.It will run off the main gas tank but not good as the gas in it is very old.The tank will need to be cleaned out.The trans goes right into gear and the fluid is very clean.I have drove it around the block and it does change out good.The brakes work but the pedal sticks.It will run and drive for loading.It is not drivable as it sits.The windshield is bad.All other glass is good,including the very rare heated back glass.The body is very straight and solid.There is a little rust at the bottoms of the front fenders and some behind and in front of the rear ones.None of this is very bad.The Trunk floor is excellent.It's still rock solid.The matching spare rim with its original tire is still in the trunk.See photos.The floors are all very solid.The rockers,doors,Trunk lid,hood are all rust free.The doors still open and shut easily and smoothly with no drag or sag.Even the strikers are still good.Note the photos of the door bottoms,they are super solid also.The interior is complete but will need redoing.The Dash is perfect.The tilt column is very tight.I fully believe the miles are actual but cannot prove it.The a/c still works and gets good and cold but the blower/switch is bad.The lines get frosty.The top motor works but both cables need replacing,so I lowered it by hand.The windows are not working and the power seat tries but is stuck from sitting.I have not checked on why these thing do not work.I sure it is as simple as probably a relay on the windows.This will make a very nice convertible for a little money and some time.I have a Notchback 71 olds 88 coupe listed also.See my other auctions.Keep in mind it is not perfect car by no means,but it is a very nice SUPER solid original 40 year old car and a Great starting point.It comes with a clear title.The photos tell the story and the car is priced right.**** It will be SOLD AS IS.*****The photos on this one speak for themselfs!!!!******See my other items for sale.I can arrange to have it delivered for you,if you like.Email for a Quote!!
