*1962 FORD GALAXIE 500 SUNLINER* Up for auction at NO RESERVE, is my nicely restored 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 "SUNLINER", two door convertible coupe. This is a relist, for I believe the previous pictures and lighting did not showcase the car accordingly. The present background colors and imagery contrast better to illustrate the wonderful condition of this 50 year classic. *Garaged & pampered, two family owned, (CA. & FLA) non-smokers, no pets example. *Complete bumper to bumper frame on restoration in 2004 at a cost exceeding $16K, It has been driven less than 8K miles since being restored. The restoration included but was not limited to: full engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, new radiator, braided hoses/lines, new front end, the body was gone over entirely to remove any surface rust, 3M light weight followed by 3M platinum plus, the car is 99% metal, repainted in correct code FORD Baffin Blue PPG paint, (think robins egg blue) all new interior, all new top related components, along with all new or refurbished chrome. *Presently ownership of 6 years *All original numbers matching drivetrain *352 V8 2V Engine, there are NO annoying drips, leaks, stories or excuses. FORD aluminum tag breakdown as follows: Body- 76A- Sport Sunliner, Color- F- Baffin Blue, Trim- 32- Blue, Date- 21M-Atlanta District, December, DSO- Blank (common on 1962 models), Axle- 1- 3.00:1, Trans- 4- Cruise-O-Matic VIN breakdown: 2- year, J- assembly plant (Los Angeles), 65- Galaxie 500 Sunliner, X- engine (352 2V V8) 132814- the 32,814 Ford built in 1962, the first being 100001 Removed original components are included (air cleaner, valve covers, carburetor, horns) along with some difficult to source extra trim pieces *Highly detailed engine compartment *Immaculate condition throughout *Smooth shifting "Cruise-O-Matic" automatic transmission *All original Ford tinted safety glass, no chips or pitting *Power top *Power steering *Power brakes *With the exception of the clock, all equipment and safety features operate accordingly. The clock displays the correct time twice each day. *All knobs, stalks, levers and switches are present *PERFECT DASH!! No cracks here! *PERFECT STEERING WHEEL!! No cracks here! *All weather gaskets and rubber are soft and pliable, all windows roll up & down properly *1962 is the last year of the SUNLINER designation for the Galaxie 500. *Original solid frame, floors and trunk *Documented low 82,762 actual miles. *Original documentation to include factory owners manual and dealer brochure(s). *Recent full service & inspection consisting of: 4 new tires, belts, hoses, fluids, tune up, battery, turned drums, exhaust & wipers *Original AM radio, hubcaps, jack, spare, tire tool & keys The Galaxie looks, runs & drives great! It cruises down the interstate effortlessly at 70mph. Wherever it goes, it receives compliments and thumbs up...it makes people smile.
