The car had oversized tires at the time, and the roads had been plowed. Upon reaching her place of employment, the parking lot had not been plowed and was covered with a foot of snow. She was the first to work and after switching to four wheel drive, drove right in down a small sloping driveway without any problem and drove into her parking spot effortlessly, with a foot of snow on the ground! She did not think anything of it until other cars tried to do the same thing and either lost control or got stuck in the snow! I have not been able to find another CAR that truly measures up to this ability. The following maintenance and replacements have been done in 2011: New gas tank installed.New muffler and pipes front to rear. New brake booster installed. New brakes front and rear. New front rotors installed. New tie rod ends. New torsion bars. New shocks. Steering alignment and suspension. There is no body rot on this car! Driver side upholstery needs attending to. I am the orginal owner with original title, I had bought the car for my daughter to use and when she upgraded, the car came back to me. I was approached five years ago by someone at a traffic light on a premo Harley Davison motorcycle that wanted to by my car and I told him that it was not for sale. He then offered to trade his motorcycle for my car and again I said NO. How foolish was I to refuse, but I loved this car. In 2011, I went to have the inspection done on the car and it failed the RI emmission testing . Everything else passed and I have the paperwork showing this. The garage owner told me that the car is now 24 years old and when it turns 25 years, it will no longer need emission testing done. This is a second car for us and is very infrequently driven. We mostly have kept it for the four wheel drive capability and it has taken us through many winters. I believe with a good tune up and tender loving care it could pass another emissions test, but unfortunately at this time we have decided to downsize to one car.
