Vehicle Detail
Listed is a Green/Blue 1997 Buick LeSabre. VIN is 1G4HR52K6VH451426. I got this car in Feb 2004 with 109,500 miles and drove it ~ 200 miles every day to Indianapolis to work until a couple of years ago when the price of fuel went to $4 a gallon. I’ve got as high as 33 miles per gallon. Within the last year we had a problem with it starting periodically and so I put a whole new fuel system in – pump, tank, lines and all thinking that was the problem. It turns out, that it was some kind of electrical problem that no one can figure out. It will go for weeks with no problem, then decides to not start. They tell me it would cost to much to track it down. So after it sets for a day or so, it will start again and run for several more weeks. If someone wants to buy this car and figure it out, they’ll have a good riunning car. But I have to have something that my kids can depend on to get through college. So . . . I’ve decided to sell this to someone for parts. When you come to get it, there’s a high probability it will start. It set for about 4 weeks, and when I started it yesterday, the battery was a little low (since it’s cold here in Indiana) but after about 3-4 seconds it started right up. However, you may want to bring something to haul it away just in case it won’t start. This is the same 3.8L V6 Cylinder engine and automatic transmission since I bought it 8 years ago – it’s never been replaced. I always kept the engine serviced every 3000-4000 miles. These miles are highway miles, and the best thing you can do for a vehicle is drive it and keep it serviced. Anyone who spends lots of time on the road knows what I’m talking about. I have the clear title and will sign over to the new owner when vehicle is paid for. As you can see from the pictures, the inside headliner is pretty rough, The air conditioner does not work, and the CD player does not work. The tires are not good, but the car runs great - so can be used for spare parts. I wish I would have had this information before I spent the money on other things trying to figure it out. Here's what he said . . . "I have the same exact car, 170k, and had same problem, spent allot of $$ trying to solve. 1. has to have a A/C delco crankshaft sensor (only one that works correct). 2. replace the ignition coil packs (3 of them). trust me I went to 4 diffrent places, until someone finally gave correct cure." Good Luck.
