Here is my 1983 240d 4 speed stick shift up on the chopping block for your consideration. I have had this car for about 2 years and in that time have done a ton of repairs and maintenance, the half shafts have both been replaced with new ones, it has Redline synthetic lube in rear end. The transmission was gone through and any worn part were replaced along with new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, topped off with Red line MTL. The engine was citric acid flushed and a new radiator, thermostat and heater valve were installed along with Mercedes coolant. A/C was pressure checked and a new evaporator and freon were installed, along with lots of little things. This car has a single tank conversion to allow it to burn diesel, bio-diesel and (my favorite) veggie oil. It will run on straight veggie if it is 40 or above outside, if it's butt cold you will need to add some diesel or bio. This car is a road warrior and runs great, everthing works with the exception of the cruise control and ODOMETER, I have three of these cars and none of the cruise controls work. the worst and only rust is in the back window, see pics.
