2006 Ford F-350 4X4 Crew Cab This truck has been used in the oil and gas industry since new, it has been used off road most its life in the mountains of Colorado. We use it primarily to haul gooseneck trailers loaded with pipe and fittings to service wells. Like all of our trucks we sell, there is NO RESERVE, the highest bidder wins the auction. This truck has some issues with it, only some of the glow plugs work, if you cycle them two or three times the truck will finally start blowing lots of black smoke out the exhaust for around 30 seconds or so, then the engine will smooth out and run ok. The check engine light is on, the buttons on the steering wheel are missing, the front seats have a rip in the driver’s side and the passenger’s side. The whole interior needs a deep cleaning. The tires are worn down and will need replaced, they all hold air, but not much tread left. After warmed up it seems to run fine and the transmission seems to shift through all the gears with no problem but the check engine light stays on so it will need serviced. Contact Jim Thuma@ 970-379-6104 with any questions Thank you and good luck…On Jan-02-12 at 16:54:59 PST, seller added the following information: I pulled a loaded trailer with this truck today, approximately 10,00lbs, for about 120 miles over the mountains and noticed a few things. I was not too impressed with the take off power, it was real slow until you reached about 10 miles an hour, and then it took off like it should with lots of power. I noticed that the heater/air conditioner motor is about to go out and will need replaced soon, it only works on high and makes a lot of noise. The needle for the shifter is off, when it is in park it is sitting between reverse and neutral and when it is in drive it is sitting between 2nd and 3rd. I also noticed it has a couple oil drips underneath it, looks like the rear seal. And there is some small dents on the passenger’s side door that cannot be seen in the pictures. I was impressed on the power once you got going, I drove 75-80- mph loaded with very little effort, I maintained a good speed up and down hill. The motor sounded good once it warmed up to operating temperature but when cold it runs real rough and blows lots of black smoke. The steering feels good and so do the brakes, the water temperature kept normal and never overheated, the oil temp was in the normal range and the oil pressure is good. The turbo psi would run up around 25 under a load and felt like it was working properly. Please call or email with any questions you might have and I will answer them as best as I can. Thank you
