Vehicle Detail

For sale is this all original 1950 Lincoln, four door family cruiser, 337 cubic inch Flathead V-8 with a 4 speed automatic transmission, 87,500 miles, runs drives and shifts good! This car drives real nice down the road at 50-60 mph! Exterior: the body is all straight, no dents, has all the chrome, windows are all good except one small vent window on the right rear door is cracked. The body lines, fenders and doors are solid and all line up real nice. It's a four door with factory suicide doors. Interior: everything is all there it just needs to be redone, headliner is not ripped just discolored, seats are torn, all the door handles are there. It even still has the original spare wheel and tire and jack! Wheels and tires are in good shape, possibly the original hubcaps, tires are radials with about 90% tread. Mechanically: The engine is a 337 ci flathead V-8 that starts right up and is extremely quiet running! Exhaust is good with no leaks, I rebuilt the Holley 2 barrel carburetor, installed new plugs, plug wires, points, condenser, rotor, upper and lower radiator hoses, fresh anti-freeze and a new 6 volt battery (still Positive ground). The brakes are all good and recently replaced, and drums turned. I have a service manual book that covers, engine and electrical. Also have a Factory Shop Manual CD from Detroit Shop Systems. Now the bad stuff: With a car this old it does have some rust, the floor has some rust but nothing you could put your hand through, also rockers and fender wells. All the chrome is there, just has surface rust. The chrome below the windows on the doors are not installed because the clips are all bad, but I do have them. Wiper blades are missing, transmission has the front seal going out, it drips oil. I tried hitting the high points, this really would be an awesome family cruiser like it is or it would definitely be worthy of a complete rebuild! I have a clear Missouri title in my name.If you have any questions or want more pictures, please feel free to shoot me an email At the closing of the sale, I would like to have $500 deposit. Thanks for looking! On Dec-27-11 at 04:18:03 PST, seller added the following information: I wanted to add that the exterior color is actually more of a gray than white. Also, several people have been asking about the rust issues, so I have added a couple of pictures of the worst of the rust. The previous owner had added some temporary patch panels, like the one in the trunk area, as seen in the pictures. I added a picture of the front passenger floor outer area, and the driver's side door post. The door post is rusted, but is still is solid for the doors to close on. Plus, It really wouldn't take much to make this a daily driver as is. I do think the transmission would need the front seal replaced, it does drip a little, and wiper blades. Thanks
