Here is a "barn find" very early production 1978 BMW R100RS. It was last registered in 1999. it is about 98% complete missing the seat rail and seat hinges (and the chunk of fiberglass from the left fairing panel...((can find the individual left panel on Ebay)). So mostly all there and runs but as you can see, it could surely use a restoration. The tank is in pretty good shape and the liner is intact. the tank is solid and holds gas with no leaks. I cleaned it out, added new fuel lines and filters and cleaned out the carbs. The engine oil is clean. Odometer shows between the 44000 and 55000 range (broken so not sure which is more accurate). Bike is dual plugged for both cylinders and has an electronic ignition and dual coils. All electronics work. Headlight kill switch piece is missing but former owner but a switch on headlight bucket. BIke also features a "ride - off " centerstand, newer exhaust pipes in good condition, underseat toolbox and, the original tool kit is complete and is also included. Feel free to ask questions. Bike will take some cosmetic work but I just couldn't bring myself to part it out. These older R100RS's need to be restored.
