Vehicle Detail
1994 FORD BRONCO XLT 4X4. IF you are looking for a great 4x4 for very little money that runs great and can be your own build as you go project, buy it for one of your kids for their first car, want a great huntin' rig, or really just want something that is dependable and won't break the bank, well...... you just found it. I bought this Bronco 6 years ago and it has been a great daily driver for my wife, my kids, and I. My daughter was the last to really be the "owner" and she pampered this Bronco. It is one that if I have to keep, I won't be too upset because it is a great, dependable, jump in and go to the post office to the mountains type of vehicle. Keep in mind, I am a motivated seller so my reserve is realistic according to NADA blue book! You won't be disappointed! It runs great but needs some front end ball joint work. We drive it daily. It is being sold locally and you can also see it on ksl.com. This was my daily driver for a couple of years and then my wifes and most recently my daughter who is off at college. It runs GREAT!!! Needs some ball joints in the front end but has needed very little mechanical fixes. The need for ball joints are figured into the asking price. It runs well and was built well. Even with the front end work needed, it runs great!!! We are the 2nd owners after an older couple owned it. I will represent this Bronco to the best that I can. We have owned this Bronco since 2005. We are the 2nd owners. It was owned previously by an elderly couple who took good care of it but the dent on the drivers side was from their snowbank issue. It is forest green and white color with grey interior. The four wheel drive works well and this is a great deal for a vehicle that Ford no longer makes. Many die-hard Bronco fans can appreciate these and testify that there are not many more that can stay with the Bronco. This is a 1994 which in 1996 they discontinued the Bronco line. Too bad. My father still drives a Bronco and I grew up with them since I can remember. It is very well balanced as a short-wheel base 4x4 would be. Has plenty of power and plenty of life still in it. It drives down the highway great and it climbs the hills with ease. The AC and heater work great. There are no major mechanical problems at all with this Bronco. It has slid into a snow bank and does have a good dent that was pushed in by the snow bank. It also has a back bumper that was pulled up by a wife and kids that were trying to pull it out of another snow bank by the bumper. Easy fix and I have an idea to at least get it bent into place. It has seen most of its life in the snow of Star Valley and has little to no Utah salt exposure as Wyoming uses gravel. I trusted my oldest daughter to drive this over the past few years and it has done well. My son has been using it lately but we want to pick him up a truck. Would be a great first 4x4 or to someone who wants to restore and make this a very inexpensive entry level 4x4 for those who want to slowly use it for daily use but build it as they go. Again, it is currently driven every day with no problems and will be kept if not sold in the first 30 days. Oh, don't worry about the "Homecoming Writing" on it. This will be washed off soon! If any questions or offers, This is a great first time driver vehicle that wont take your whole life savings! This truck runs Big Foot XT's and the warranty goes with them. They are Big O Tires Mud Terrains and I usually will get 40K miles on a set. These are at around 10K on them now with a little wear due to the ball joints in the front end. I just got back from a 3 hour trip in this Bronco and it rides so well, has plenty of power, the Bronco seats have to be the most comfortable seats made in the captain chair, and I was amazed again at its stability and weight distribution throughout the entire vehicle. In other words, when we were traveling through Hoback Canyon, a place that is notorious for black ice, this Bronco slid very little. Great short wheel based SUV that they should've NEVER discontinued! So, give this one a shot. 1996 is the last year for these and this is a 1994 XLT that has about everything that one needs. I will not be upset if this does not sell because I will continue to enjoy it. It is practically unstoppable in 4 wheel drive with the mud terrains and they don't add too much noise with the Big Foot XT's. Don't be afraid to bid. This may be the best deal on the internet because we are selling this cheap and it is SO MUCH MORE VEHICLE then it books or appears. Take my word for it. This is a steal because of the XLT package and there is very little wrong with it. Since we are the 2nd owners and the 1st were an older couple, it has been babied. We take care of our vehicles. It does, however, need a stereo but all of the wiring for a killer system is still in place. PLEASE EMAIL ME AT shedhornb@yahoo.com. and I will get back to you ASAP! Thanks again and GOOD LUCK!!!On Dec-22-11 at 19:47:12 PST, seller added the following information: Just for clarification purposes, when you run the vehicle report, you see a (calculated owners as 3). We are, indeed, the 2nd owners of this vehicle. I say this because it was bought by a young man, at the dealership, and he then got a job out of state and brought it back to the dealership and bought a different vehicle. I believe he had it for a month is all. Had a great stereo system in it because it still has the wiring in it. The first owners were an elderly couple that bought it brand new. The other question that you may have. My wife had a fender bender in Afton in the winter when it was slick and she slid out to where here and a car from the other lane, came in contact. Luckily both were downtown and going very slowly due to the speed limit and the icy conditions. And, as described before, a sliding into a snowbank is the other issue not reported or fixed. We live where there is a lot of snow in the winter. Also, the front end that is a ball joint because the tires are starting to wear a little. I hope that clears some stuff up. Technically, we are the 3rd owners but the one young man did not have it for very long and did not put very many miles on it. Thus the dealership was generous to allow him to bring it back and buy another vehicle. I also wanted to mention the 5.7 V8 has plenty of power and runs great. I love the stability of the Ford Bronco. Not many better in the snow. Please do not be afraid to bid. This is a clean, solid vehicle for the price. I don't think that you will find one that runs this well for such a low price. If this one doesn't sell, I am going to keep it and start dumping money into it with a lift, bigger tires, etc to make it one great 4x4 for the mountains and having some fun with it!!! Thanks again for your interest and bid with confidence, it is a great one!On Dec-23-11 at 18:19:16 PST, seller added the following information: I just took this Bronco out for a 6 hour jaunt! I had to drive over the mountain to our other home to sell a very nice truck. So, it was three hours over and three hours back. Ran like a champ! It truly does need a ball joint on the driver's side and the tire is wearing because of it but that is all taken into consideration for the person that purchases this Bronco. It has the 5.7 V8 (.352 cu inch) and it is strong and burns no oil. Today, I averaged around 22 mpg so not too bad considering. Had some pretty icy canyon roads that had a lot of black ice, Hoback Canyon being one of the absolute WORST EVER and this Bronco was stable the entire way. Therefore, just a quick update and when I said that I would drive this Bronco across the country, I was not lying. I trust in it to take it on a 6 hour total trip and ran like a champ! I hope this meets the reserve so someone else will put this to daily use. If not, it stays with us as a "backup" vehicle. One of the best vehicles that we have owned. Please don't be afraid to bid. A TON of life left in this ol' horse!!! Thanks for your interest!!!On Dec-24-11 at 16:05:08 PST, seller added the following information: I have received request from potential buyers about some pics about the dent from the snow bank. Thus, I have added them to the pics. The rust is just starting under the paint. It pushed that panel behind the door in just a bit and a tiny spot on the door but it does not really show too much. I had a quote from a reputable body repair shop and I was told that to repair that spot would be $400-$500 to fix it correctly. You can see the bumper and where it was pulled up but a used bumper at a wrecking yard will run $80-$100. OR, if you know someone good with metal, it can be bent back to being pretty darn close to where it was. There are NO tears on the seats, no damage in the interior that I know of. It has never been smoked in. The dash is perfect condition as are the doors. I took a picture of the driver's side door panel with the power locks, power windows, and power mirrors. There are two areas that I need to look into that I can think of. The cruise was not working on it yesterday. The other area is the back window is not going down with the switch. It goes down fine with the key but the switch on the dash is not working. Hopefully, they are fuse issues and I am checking them out to see if they can be fixed. So, for the money, you can't beat this 4x4. It will get you to where you need to go on the highway, off the highway with the four wheel drive, and is a great vehicle overall with some minor fixes needed. The only other thing that I can think of is the locking remote. It will not lock and unlock like it should. This is a simple fix of taking into your local Ford dealer and having them re-code the remote, replace the battery, and you are ready to go. We live in a small town so we have never needed to use it . The theft alarm works well. Everything that you would look for in a XLT Bronco is here and it is very affordable. I truly think if one was willing to spend about $ 1000 for the front end ball joint and tire, the body work from the snowbank, the bumper, and then the remote, you would have not just a great Bronco but one that will give you 10's of thousands of miles on and off the road! Another vehicle that I absolutely love but must part. I am taking it in on Tuesday to have the oil, and filter changed and lubed and ready to go for you. In case you didn't notice, this Bronco has a full spare with the cover and the tire is in great condition. Don't be afraid to ask any questions or request other pics because the more you know, the better off you will feel when you bid. As the owner, I would bid on this Bronco in a heart beat. When this hit our local dealership as a trade in, it only spent 2 days on the lot because it is a great Bronco, looks good, and even with the snowbank damage, the price was right. Well, the price is right again so good luck and have fun bidding. As always, thanks a ton for your interest!!! On Dec-25-11 at 16:58:17 PST, seller added the following information: Sorry if I didn't mention that this has the .351 cu inch motor. It is the 5.7 Liter engine because I refuse to buy anything except the ones with the most horsepower and torque and this has it. We have a good foot or so in the driveway of show and I had to put it into four wheel drive high and talk about torque. Once it grabbed the asphalt driveway, through my head back into the seat! That is what I want in a vehicle and it still gets good gas mileage. As you can see, there is no stereo in this Bronco. This was my daughters Bronco last (thus the heart shaped steering wheel, car mats, etc) but we bought her a good Kenwood to put in it and now that she is in college, so is the Kenwood. I refused to do what so many others do and put a piece of crap stereo in just so it has one. The young man that owned this for a month had quite a stereo in it because, as I mentioned before, it has the giant, expensive wiring still in it. He put the crappy stereo back in it that only worked when you hit bumps. I will not do that to you. All original wiring is there and in great shape as is the wiring that he put in for his stereo. So, you have the option of what you want to put in the Bronco. It does have the stock speakers in it and they sound pretty good for being stock. Today, I just found the other "tog" or remote so you will have two to take in and have recoded to use the anti-theft system in it if you live somewhere where you need it. We are getting close on the reserve folks and the more I look at it, drive it, the more I wished that I would have bumped up the reserve but you meet it, it is YOURS!!! Thanks again! On Dec-25-11 at 20:28:13 PST, seller added the following information: *** 5.7 Liter Engine*** This is the biggest engine that Ford put in these Broncos. I only highlight this is because a lot of listings that I am reading for Broncos are the 5.0 engine which has less horsepower and torque. My best friend's dad had this happen when he thought he was getting the bigger engine and was extremely upset with the lack of "oomph" to get 'er goin'!!! When you want to pass another vehicle on the highway to up muddin' in the mountains, you definitely need the 5.7 liter because power is what you need and power is what you will get. Not to mention the 22 mpg that I am receiving on the highway which for the larger engine in phenomenal. Don't settle for another with the smaller engine because you will not be happy with what you could've had! I don't buy anything that if the option is there for a larger more powerful engine, I spend the $ to get it because I know that is what makes me happy when driving and my wife even likes it more. She has a lead foot! lol So, just be careful what you buy. As I have looked at all of the Broncos on Ebay right now, there is only 1 that I consider an equal and only 1 that I feel is a better vehicle. Let's say (hypothetically) you take the Buy-it-Now price. Ok so you just dumped $2500 on a solid 4x4 that is and has been driven every single day. You take this Bronco and have the body damage from the snow bank and find a used bumper and have them throw it on for you. While it is at the body shop, you have them put a new windshield on. Now, take it in to a tire place and have them replace the driver's side ball joints and a new tire. OR even better, take it to your local Ford dealership, have them throw on new ball joints and a new tire and have them recode the remotes. When you get it home, you put in a $150 Kenwood CD player that you ordered from Crutchfield and now you have tunes. At that point, you have just spent around $3500-$4000 and have a 4x4 Bronco that will take you anywhere and do anything you ask. Depending what you want to do at that point is up to you. The small dent didn't bother us nor did the bumper so we lived with it. (Ok, the bumper drove me nuts cuz it was a dumb mistake but I am getting over it). But you could then start slowly building your dream 4x4 or just keep up the maintenance for a daily driver that has a lot of life left in it. Boy, if I had the time, I sure would do exactly that but I have a Jeep as my mountain/desert toy 4x4! Anyway, this Bronco has it all. Just keep in mind and read and ask questions so that you get the vehicle that you want and not one that you regret. Thanks again. Merry Christmas. Good luck Bronco shopping. I hope that we can do business soon!!!On Dec-26-11 at 02:07:36 PST, seller added the following information: Well good folks, it looks like we have met the reserve price and this Bronco WILL be SOLD! I just mentioned to my wife just how sad this will be when we turn over the keys to one lucky bidder! To those of you that are watching and waiting, please read all of my posts on the descriptions of this vehicle. When it comes to overall durability and reliability, this Ford Bronco beats them all hands down! I am currently in the process of selling 6 vehicles and this one is gonna hurt to see it head to another grateful owner and off to a good home. So, even though the reserve has been met, keep bidding 'til you feel comfortable. I love driving this vehicle, I love to go four wheelin' and I will hate to see her go! Keep a biddin' folks! Sometimes you only miss out by $100! SO, if you love it, put that highest price that you would pay so it can be yours at auction end. Finally, BTW, we are not the kind of people that try to run the price up from a separate account because that is illegal (by Ebay standards), unethical, and just flat out frickin' wrong! SO, whoever bids the highest out there of the fine people bidding, this '94 Ford Bronco is all yours!!! I just want to thank y'all for your interest, your questions, your pic requests, and of course, your bidding! Promise me that it is going to a good home! She deserves the best! Thanks again guyz!!!On Dec-27-11 at 18:10:04 PST, seller added the following information: Howdy folks! As this auction winds down and is getting closer to ending, please let me remind those that may be new to Ebay or even those that have been on here for years. PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT YOU CAN PAY FOR AN ITEM!!! Non-paying bidders will be reported. Remember, this is a legally bound sale between the seller and they buyer. Unless stated beforehand, I will not NOT allow for payment plans, waiting for banks to loan you money, etc. Please just be able to pay. This is a vehicle that the title is clear and free to sell but the bank has it and it will be sent or delivered or transferred once payment has cleared. Now, in saying that, someone is going to get a very fine Ford Bronco. I wish y'all the best in bidding and don't be afraid that you are buying an Ebay vehicle. I have bought 11 vehicles from Ebay and only 1 was a dishonest deal! And I will NEVER do that to anyone, Ebay or not! Thanks for looking, reading my many posts, and bidding. From "sunny" Wyoming!!! Good luck fellers!!!
