Vehicle Detail
This is a 1988 Ford F-250: * 5.8 EFI V8 * Runs very strong... when running... currently not * Great compession, easy on oil, no smoke, clean * Very strong manual transmission... will pull anything * Strong clutch * Good starter * Good brakes * Ok tires * Ok interior * Minor rust * Needs new wiped motor* Converted from propane to petrol * Good muffler and tailpipe * Solid bed and tailgate * Good spare - attached @ rear underside of bed * Great on a mountain, great on a highway This truck has spent most of its life in Galena, IL. as a property maintenance truck. Ever since I severed some oxygen sensor wires while driving over thick brush the truck stopped wanting to start. I parked it with intensions to work on it almost two years ago, and never did. I bought a new fuel pump and battery last week. She starts right up when I pour gas into the throttle-body, but she doesn't want to start on her own.... I don't know... I don't have the patience, and I have other trucks to drive that are not giving me a hard time right now. It's a super straight, and super strong truck for the person who has the patience to figure this issue out. This tuck is located in Galena, IL. If you know what you're doing, you are free to work on her where she's parked, then drive her away. I'll give you a day, maybe two. You should'need more than that. Bring your own battery. Tow it, ship it... I don't care, as long as you do the leg work. If you need me to be around for a third party pick up, let me know, and we'll work it out. Sold as is, where is. No returns. Pay in full upon completion of auction. She's a good, hard working truck. You'll do fine. Enjoy. -Doug
