Beautiful condition 1988 Vette. 99k miles. Automatic trans. Delaware tagged for 2 yrs. The car runs and drives GREAT. Everything works. This Vette was highly optioned for 1988 including automatic digital climate control, Delco Bose stereo, and also the rare optional 12-way powered sport seats on driver and passenger's side. The Vette is Garage Kept The photos tell the story with this car. The leather seats are newly redone. Tasteful additions include Custom leather console cover, shift boot, steering wheel, and sill covers. The dash has an updated look with a smooth panel replacing the factory space-wasting foam "bumper" and with color-matched custom Corvette lettering. The following items are new within the last 2000 miles: Exhaust system including stainless y-pipe, catalytic converter, mufflers; New Shocks all around; Spark plugs, wires; serpentine belt ; Valve cover gaskets; Trans fluid and filter; Cooling system hoses; Headlight motors redone, and with Silverstar high output headlamps ; Battery; Some weatherstrips replaced; Digital dash backlights replaced ; power antenna motor replaced The paint was professionally redone due to fading, in the original color (basecoat/clearcoat) about 2 years ago. See pictures, it looks great. This Vette also has a sophisticated remote starter and remote lock/unlock that is interfaced and operates seamlessly with the factory Pass-Key alarm system. The stereo has been updated with a CD/MP3 player with bluetooth capability and handsfree phone. Plays through original Delco Bose speakers that sound great (The old Delco Bose tape deck can be included, if interested) The car includes *3* tops: - Fox Canvas top (easy on-off in the summer time- like a convertible - folds and fits into its own bag) - Smoke tint plexiglass top (currently installed) - Original solid hard top with new matching red headliner. Also included is a full set of factory service manuals, and original leather-bound owners manual. Slight negatives (any car this age will have a few - an ad for a similar aged car that doesn't list any is not being honest!) -Carpet shows some wear in the rear hatch area. The worn areas have been redyed, to help. Never bothered me enough to replace it. Some wear at sills is covered by sill covers. - There is a small leak from the transmission, I believe it is the shift seal. It is minor. Leaves a tiny drop on the garage floor after sitting for a few days. Again, something I've been meaning to get around to... - Driver's power window motor is a little "tired" - needs a bit of help to close completely when the door is closed (raises easily if door is open). Might just need some greasing. Overall, this is one of the NICEST 88 Vette's you will find. Much more than asking price has been invested in this car. It has been a labor of love for me, but I now have an upcoming move, and I'm losing storage space. I love the car -- I had visioned taking it to car shows, driving at the beach, etc etc. But I have 3 other vehicles and a 60 hour work week.
