Up for auction is a 1969 Volvo P1800S. This car has been in storage for the past ten years - I just bought three P1800's from a woman who no longer has a need for them. This was her most recent Volvo and by far the car that needed the least amount of work to get it on the road again. I drained the gas tank, cleaned out the bowls on the Strombergs, changed the distributor cap and rotor, put in a battery and varoooom. Runs very nice! That said: the brakes work but surely need attention. The transmission works in all four gears, and the electric overdrive seems to click into engagement. The original Volvo color (#98 grey) can be seen in the picture of the interior - the drivers door does have the missing panel, right now it is in the back seat, which is in nice condition. The odometer reads 14209 - no telling how many times that has been around. The engine in this car is a B18 - not sure but I think that a 1969 P1800 would have come with a B20. The body - what can I say - all of the classic P1800 rust. I would like to convert this car to cash so that I can spend some money on the 1965.
