Up for auction is my summer fun ride 1971 280SE 3.5 Mercedes **Custom Convertible** Runs strong and smooth shifting 4 speed manual trans. I drove this car all summer long with no problems at all. Starts every time just like a Mercedes should. Just had new brakes and rotors installed in June 2011, new top & headliner installed November 2011 & wood refinished ready to roll. Motor and trunk shows well just like the car itself. This car has a nonworking Becker Europa radio and Kuhlmeister A/C unit with hard to find wood front for that timeless classic look. Seats are in good condition and shows very little wear. This is a custom conv. So with that said when it came off the line in 1971 at Mercedes it was a coupe, then in the late 80's the 2nd owner converted it into a Convertible. If you are looking for a true convertible Don't look here... this is a custom convertible... I hate to sell her, this car has been very good to me while I had it, but it is time to move on to another toy maybe a boat or hot rod not sure yet but I do know I need to sell so I can buy something else.
