~ One owner, original GALAXIE 500. This vehicle has numerous excellent qualities. ~ Built at the Los Angles California FORD plant. Interior seats in excellent shape for a 46 year old car. Headliner in good shape. All door and window handles attached and functional. Door panels nice. Window glass all good. Instrument panel original and clean. All lights function,including the spot light which has the drivers sideview mirror molded into spotlight backing; adjust from inside with 360* view spotlight handle, chrome in great shape. Black and Yellow original plates. This privately owned, Galaxie 500 comes with an excellent running 390 V-8 CID. ( a couple mechanic friends noted it runs so smoothly they consider it may be a balanced - blue printed engine. ) 4 Barrel carburator. The Manual 3 speed transmission, on the column, has over-drive; clutch, linkage, function with daily driver precision. Original Black paint, no bondo. All exterior chrome pieces intact and in great shape! A cool tear-drop shaped radio antenna. A true California car in that frame and under carriage have virtually no rust. This Galaxie 500 disclosure facts are as follows: Dual mufflers shot. slight exhaust leak on rear cylinder of left manifold. In 2 places only, body received slight body ding (both on drivers side). Car was stored in a Barn for years with the rear end exposed to the elements causing rust on trunk lid, needs attention yet not cancerous at all. trunk lid was sprayed with 1 coat of rust prohibiting paint in last year. Right, rear, fender has rusted through above curved chrome strip, 1 1/2" at center lessens in both directions for 21" relatively easy cut, weld, grind repair. slight repeat on left, rear, fender,,, not bad. trunk interior not rusted through at all, surface rust only, under center mat.
