Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I am selling my 2002 Civic LX 4 door Sedan. The transmission is dying so I am selling this car at a price that will allow someone else to get a great deal, invest $1000 for a transmission, and still make out with a great vehicle for a great price. I love this car but I need something bigger to move my stuff across the country. Here are the facts - 173,xxx miles (I have driven x-country 8x in this car and I've never had a problem) - 1.7L 4 cylinder, automatic - averages 29 mpg city, 32 hwy - The interior is very clean - 100,000 and 120,000 mile maintenance were performed together when it reached 120 (This was extensive maintenance that will keep this car going for another 100,000 and it is documented) - New front brakes (rear brakes have plenty of life left) - New drive axle - New struts in the front - Bike rack is included - A/C and heat work perfectly - Full size spare included - After market stereo has aux input + USB plug Issues - The transmission slips. It is still drivable, but the transmission slips between 2nd-3rd and 3rd-4th - Small crack in the exhaust manifold (right on top, common in Civics and doesn't effect performance) - Suspension pops on the drivers front side (sway bar link) - Driver's side passenger power window motor needs to be replaced (window is rolled up) - Damage to the rear quarter panel above the gas tank latch (see picture) - A few other small dings (passenger front quarter panel, passenger front door, top of trunk) Bottom Line - I've had this car since 2007 and it has treated me very well - It is incredibly comfortable and pleasant to drive - It has a 12 gallon tank that is gentle on the wallet - I'm looking for a small/mid size SUV or pickup and would love to trade! The disabling accident in the car fax report stems from a minor incident that resulted in a flat tire and the car being towed because it did not have a spare. KBB private party value for this car is $3,406 with all of her faults indicated, including "less than $3000 in body repairs" and "transmission or engine replacement required." This car has been taken care of mechanically and will make a great first car for someone's kid, or a great fuel efficient commuter for anyone else. I have been completely open with all of the issues to the best of my knowledge and I know that with the transmission repaired or replaced that it will go strong for another 100,000 miles. If you have any questions, give me a call. I'll be happy to send more pictures.
