This is a factory built Electric truck. Gm made app 800 EV1 electric cars back in 1997 and 1998. They leased them out then took them back and crushed them. The built app 500 S-10 electric pickups. They leased app 450 of them and took them back and crushed them. The rest app 60 got sold to municipalities government institutions etc. There is app 35 of them still running. There is a a group of us guys that have a web site to help each other and share ideas. I willl give you all of this info also.There is much controversy over what they did. See movie Who killed the electric car. This is a fabulous truck. IT will go 71 miles per hour. IT is very quick and quiet. I have enjoyed it for about 3 years. I just put a new set of batteries in it sept 2011. You cannot get the original batteries they are not sold any more. I installed 26 New Northstar 60 series AGM. They all fit in the original container located under the bed of the truck.You should be good for quite a while. It takes app 2 to 6 hours to recharge. My cost is 2 cents per mile to charge.So that is 60 cents to go 30 miles. Cost will vary depending on were you live. Solar would even be better. People everywhere go nuts when they realize what it is. Car shows are a blast. Distance travel will depend on speed, acceleration. I get between 30 to 40 miles. I have two 220 volt factory chargers that come with it. I also have one extra one for parts you can have.. You also get 1 extra Northstar 60 battery I also have a Tech 2.This will be included in sale if bid is $11000,00 or more. This is a device that interfaces with the truck to give you codes if you have problems and check batteries conditions. It is essential that you have one of these. These cost app $1500.00 used. I have a copy of the factory manuals app 9 inches thick. Nice late nite reading material when you are bored. I have removed the business decals on both doors The Truck looks and drives great. The only problem is the air conditioning/ heat pump stopped working this summer. Not sure what the problem is.
