Audi A6 Avant Quattro Car was running great then started sounding rough and lost most of it's power. My first thought was to part it out on eBay., but I had it towed home and removed the lower oil pan for a look up inside. There were plastic chunks in the oil pan and after a little google work, it made sense. The first link I found described it perfectly- The cam chain guide broke. eBay item # 180433715807 should be all this car needs. Before the guide broke, the car had very good power and ran well. I would rather sell it whole since it can be fixed by a quasi mechanic without costing too much. Of course this A6 is being sold as is. Other issues- Rear hatch needs new latch and the center LED dash display can't be read on hot days. The picture below is of my cam chain as it sits now with no guide. The bottom picture shows what it looked like before. Please do not bid if you are not able to pay cash and pickup within 48 hours of auction end.
