Vehicle Detail
This is a fully-removeable top K5 Blazer. I have had it for 12 years and never thought I'd sell it but I haven't driven it much these past five years and as times change, it's time for someone else to enjoy. In April '04, about 50K miles ago I had the top end of the engine fully done. There is an Edelbrock performance manifold and Edelbrock 625 4-barrel carb on the 350 cu engine with a Turbo 400 (R4) automatic transmission. It is a 4WD with locking Warn hubs and geared for both highway and offroad use and is wired for 7-pin trailer connections. It was painted in '02 and done properly: stripped down to the metal, removed windsheild, windows, all chrome, lighting, and trimming removed and replaced with all new rubber and lenses except the headlights and chrome bezel. The top was also painted at the same time but needed some more work so although the side windows were replaced, the rubber was not put in for now but I have it still new in the box. The side windows are these trick tinted slide windows by C.R. Laurence Automotive Products. The rear bumper also serves as a custom heavy duty tire carrier (not shown in most pictures except side view) and doubles as an air tank (the tire carrier is nice and allows for more space as K5's have no room for the spare except inside the rear bed of the truck which takes up a lot of room). The tires are Michelin MTX R/S, size P265/70 R16. As older trucks go, there are some things that need fixing and some TLC. They are:The rear window motor is removed so for now I use a cordless drill to raise and lower the window (I have two motors that I was going to rebuild but never got around to it.The top has typical K5 cracks in it that need repairing by a boat shop or someone who knows this stuff.Because the top side windows are only temporarily put in, I sometimes get water that comes in from that area but nothing major and I just keep a small towel on hand. That's all I can think of - please call me anytime with questions: (408) 838-7859.On Nov-29-11 at 21:29:31 PST, seller added the following information: A potential buyer asked if there are any rot or cracks in the body and there is not. I've also added the last few pictures to show these common rot and crack areas for Chevys. It is common that the strike latch bolts crack the body where they screw in and I had the driver side completely cut out and had a cleaner one from a newer junk yard truck welded in. From the pics you'll see how nice of a job it is.When I had it painted I replaced the quarter panels with cleaner and nicer ones and had the lower parts of the front and rear trimmed off to allow for a nicer tire clearance. This is hardly noticeable unless I point it out.
