Vehicle Detail
No reserve. I bought this car new and am the original owner. The car has been a war horse and it's just sitting now in the corner of my driveway and deserves better. First true year of the Outback. A great, loyal friend, but it's time has come. Classic early green, 213,000 miles, 5-speed manual transmission (shifts fine, no grinding), no sunroof, but AC still works. Actually starts, runs and drives well, but do know this car needs work. Has never been in an accident, but it has some rust and other issues that will need attention. Got me through last winter, after which I retired it, parking it still going strong after 16 years was nice. I'm selling this car as is and mainly because it needs and deserves to be driven. The car needs the following: a new battery, a new catalytic converter (there is a hole in the current one, but the exhaust system behind the converter is only a year old), complete rear brake job (calipers, rotors, pads), four new tires (current Michelins have about 15/20 percent tread left). In addition, the car takes about five seconds after the ignition key is engaged to crank, then it starts right up. Has been doing this on and off for three years. No issues with suspension, shocks, ball joints, control arms - all replaced within past two years. Engine is strong and peppy, always changed oil and filter every three to four thousand miles. No electric issues, except the radio does not work. Finally, the rear hatch works but the two guide posts are rusted and non-functioning. All glass intact with no cracks. On Nov-24-11 at 19:31:37 PST, seller added the following information: As mentioned earlier, the rear brakes don't seem to be working and I wouldn't feel comfortable driving the car unless you are local. Also, I had to buy a new alternator for the car in March (see pictures). If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
