'73 TR6, built for speed and sleek lines, not to please the lover of bone-stock TR6's. NO RESERVE. It's a super solid car and straight as an arrow. I spent over $14,000 on just the body work; it was stripped down to bare metal, epoxy primered, with welded all-metal custom work (no bondo). Then lots of hand-sanding. The paint is 98 point - really well-done. It's a little hard to start because of the cam, but doesn't leak or smoke- just goes like a rocket. The engine was built, following the Triumph Factory Competition Manual to Stage 2 race specs, by one of the best engine builders on the East Coast, Bud Friend of Emmaus, Pa. It has 1,400 miles on it. The steering, brakes, gearbox, clutch, and suspension are all excellent, with a lot of new parts. It drives and handles better than probably all other street TR6's. The exhaust is a brand-new freeflow Monza that sounds like a Ferrari, with a great lumpy idle. It's never been driven in even the rain as long as I've owned it - so I didn't buy a top. But the top frame is all restored and excellent. The stereo is not hooked up - I prefer the engine song. The Recaro style seats give great side support. The carpet is new. The driving lights are from a 50's Ferrari. We used LED lights as much as possible, so it's super reliable. This car is not for the faint-of-heart, nor the Triumph purist.
