Being offered is the truely rare 1949 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special This vehicle has an unheard of 46,000 original miles and runs beautifully. No knocks or pings, she really purrs like a kitten. Transmission shifts ultra smooth and quiet. Everything works in this vehicle from the power windows and seats, radio, power antenna, wipers, lights, etc. The Cadillac was repainted in 1971. Outside of that it is ENTIRELY original. Headliner, door panels, upholstry and so forth. Every last chrome knob, the emergency roadside bag in the trunk is 100% original. Outside of servicing the car the engine retains all original parts. Like the day it came off the production line in 1949. This car is originally from Iowa and was purchased by a neighbor of mine in Tucson, AZ where it has been for many decades. This is not a car that has changed hands many times. Exterior condition is both good and bad. The frame of the vehichle is totally straight with no signs of repairs at any time. The body of the vehicle is immaculate. Outside of 1 minor dent on the driver side rear fender all of the body is perfectly symmetrical. The chrome is bright and shiny with no pit marks or dents. The paint on the vehicle has begun to crackle and peel in some areas. A new paint job would be recommended. As far as the interior is concerned both bench seats have original fabric and thus are past its prime. Both the headliner and floor carpeting are in good condition, but a reupholstered front and back seat would be recommended. The door panels have some slight staining and discoloration that may or may not come out with a cleaning. As pictured inside the trunk is the door moldings. These were taken off and repainted the vehicles original color (dark blue). I am not a car guy so unable to install the moldings. 5 Tires including the spare are in good condition with plenty of tread remaining.
