Vehicle Detail

This is a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie SLT with a Quad Cab, 5.9L Cummins diesel engine, automatic transmission, long bed (8 ft), dual rear wheels and 4-wheel drive. It has leatherheated seats, power windows and locks, cruise control, AM/FM radio/CD/Cassette, ABS, airconditioning, Reese rails in the bed (for a 5thwheel or goose neck hitch – **not included**) and an electric brake controller.I bought this truck new. I ordered it from the factory and two of the pictures are the windowstickers showing installed equipment by the factory. There is approximately 119 K miles on thetruck have been virtually all on the open road pulling about a 9K fifthwheel trailer. It does agreat job and I wouldn't mind taking off tomorrow on a cross country trip. My trips havebeen primarily to Alaska [every year] and a person doesn't want any trouble on such a trip.I've completed regular maintenance and kept the truck in great shape. I am selling it because Ihave ordered a new truck with a bigger cabin due to the growth of my grandkids. The clubcab is just not big enough to take them on a long trip. I am doing this with some reluctancebecause I am more confident taking a trip in this truck than in a new one. It took awhile towork the bugs out of this truck and I have made several modifications. The diesel fuel lift pump on Dodge trucks around this year had problems and I replaced theoriginal lift pump with a Carter pump mounted in front of the fuel tank. To make surepressure is not lost to the injection pump I have a low pressure light that monitors pressure atthe injection pump. I replaced the injection pump [@74.8K] when I installed the lowpressure light - lift pump and have not had any problems since. The truck has a superchipsprogrammer which I use full time, set to the tow-haul mode. That programmer can provide upto 80 Horsepower and 185 ft lbs of torque increase. The truck has been modified to 4” exhaustand has an exhaust brake. There is a BD power digital monitor [it also has programmablealarms] for transmission temp, pyro, and turbo. The transmission has been replaced with aheavy duty BD Power transmission and torque converter [@80.5K]. There is a spin ontransmission filter mounted in front of the fuel pump/tank on the frame. A removable mudflap set up has been installed at the rear of the truck to protect towed trailers and provide astep to get up into the bed of the truck. There is a CB radio and towing mirrors. **The fuel transfer tank and tool box pictured in the bed are not being sold with the truck.** **The truck is being sold as-is with no warranty.** The truck can be taken for a test drive withme at the time of transaction or before if arrangements are made. Actual miles on the vehicleare currently 118960. However, they may be higher at the time of sale due to any test drivesor travel to the sale point. The vehicle is being sold in an “As is” condtion with no warranty.A non-refundable $500 deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of auction end. Fullpayment is due at or before the time of delivery. The balance (bid -$500) must be paid in full**within 7 days** at a bank (with cash from you or a cashier's check from a bank teller at thatbank – or by a verifiable means prior to the transfer). At the time transfer, a Oregon StateBill of Sale [Form 735-501] and a Oregon Notice of Sale or Transfer of a Vehicle [Form 735-6890] will be completed. I will, at that time, sign over title and provide the vehicle. The trucktransfer must be made within 7 days at a mutually agreed bank in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Ifsome other transfer process, location or timing is desired, it must be negotiated within 2 daysof the winning bid. If no contact is made within 2 days I reserve the right to re-list thevehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, sell it by some other means or take it off the market. The buyer is responsible for title and registration fees. Oregon does not have sales tax. However, if the buyer is from another state, they will be responsible for reporting the sale in their state and any taxes due. Known problems are not serious. The finish has a few scratches along the bed/bed rails and a rock chip on the passenger side of the hood. There is also a chip on the bottom of the passenger door. The bottom front of the dual tire fenders have a few chipped spots. The carpets have some stains. The heater control does not work smoothly through out its entire range. The driver seat has one of the three adjustment motors not working. I've driven with that seat motor out for several years and did not bother to fix it since it tilted the seat cushion and was not a problem for me. The original tail gate is in good shape (hasn't been used much) and comes with the truck along with thefifth wheel tail gate in the pictures. The truck comes with a rubber mat in the bed, which you can see in the pictures. Addtionally, there are spare belts for the engine (used but working when pulled). Both batteries are larger than the original batteries and were replaced last year. The tires were replaced last year and have about 15K on them. Regarding the BD parts I've installed, you may want to google BD Power and look at their equipment. I've have found it pretty impressive. The exhaust break, transmission, torque converter and gauges are all BD Power equipment that was installed by shops that do good quality work. The front brake pads have been replaced but, using the exhaust brake saves a lot of wear on the brakes. The last time the tires were changed all brakes were fine. Using the exhaust break also makes early morning starts nice since it warms up the engine in a fraction of the time that it takes without one.
